Good morning, riddlers. I thought I would stop in and take a shot at the riddle, but the Riddlemeister must be very popular this morning. Time to collect the mail and clean out your mailbox, OK.

Today Dan is running in a county 7km cross-country race, so I'll be out there cheering him on. He's not the greatest runner but he tries very hard and has been doing better, this, his second year on the team. I'm so thrilled to see him cross that line!

At the end of school yesterday, I got a call from the vice-principal that Tim had been assaulted by another student, just outside the high school. He wanted my permission to call the police, which I gave. Tim has a black eye, bruised and swollen nose (he had quite a nose bleed) and upper lip. I had to take Tim to emerg and the police met us there and Tim gave a statement. Basically, the kid, (a bully-type) accused Tim of saying something he didn't (Tim doesn't even know this kid) and he plowed Tim in the face and kicked him in the ribs (only a minor bruise). Luckily, nothing was broken (nose was x-ray'd, teeth look okay) and Tim was able to go to school today. The kid will be charged with criminal assault causing bodily harm. What are these kids thinking?????

I'm so thankful things are relatively back to normal today! Hope you all have a GREAT day today!

Julie - so sorry to hear that Tim was assaulted! Glad to hear that he wasn't seriously hurt, though I'm sure he's smarting this morning. Also glad to see that the other student will be held responsible for his actions....
