I did the rookie experience a couple of years ago in Charlotte. It was an absolute blast.
I'm 6' 1" and weighed in at about 325 at the time. I asked the same thing about weight restrictions. They told me if you can get in the window, you can go. I told them I was worried more about the 2 or 3 guys it would take to haul my big behind out of the car.
It was a tight fit, but I made it.
I got to drive 8 laps and my top average speed was 145+ mph. If you've ever wanted to drive a fast car just as fast as you can, this is one of the coolest things you'll ever do.
It also gives you a great respect for the guys to race the NASCAR circuit. They do an excellent job of giving you instructions and making sure everyone is safe. It absolutely amazed me how fast the world went by and how busy you were chasing your instructor at top speed.
