We did the first Food and Wine Rhine cruise in 2018 and loved it. Most of the passengers on our sailing were long standing Disney fans but a few were new to Disney. I'd say passenger ages ranged from mid 20s to 80s. There were wine and food tastings many of the afternoons after the excursions which were hosted by the guest sommelier and pastry chef. Some included pastry demos with passenger participation. On our cruise the guest pastry chef and sommelier were from Disney which I don't believe will be the case for all future food and wine cruises, but even the AMA Waterway's sommelier and pastry chef were excellent so I am sure whomever they engage will be great. The food every evening was excellent and there was a white and red wine chosen by the guest sommelier to pair with the evening's dinner. The excursions were all adult focused and many included wine and beer tours/tastings. There were also a lot of opportunities to experience the culture of the different cities. Most of the excursions included a lot of walking but Disney was great with the few folks with limited mobility. We loved all of the cities we visited. The Disney guides were wonderful. The way they worked excursions we had opportunities to get to know all of the guides. The ratio of Disney guides to passengers was about 1 to 20. I'd be happy to answer any questions. We did not do the Oktoberfest cruise but am considering it in the future.
