Revival of the angry thread!

Phyllis - I dumped my Amex Gold charge account years ago (before online bill paying was popular) because even though my payment was mailed to them in ample time before the due date, they always posted it late. They tried to nail me with all kinds of fees. What was funny was the date Amex cashed my check was usually 4-5 days before my payment was posted! 'Splain that to me, Lucy? Three times & they were O.U.T.!!!

I'm beginning to think that you & Jen have this little grey cloud following you around!

I do seem to be having trouble with our Disney trips of late. Hasn't stopped me from going though!

As for Amex..they have been sneaking any charge over $200.00 onto what they call the "Flexible portion" of your account. Guess what..I don't want a Flexible portion. They just so happen to charge you interest..from the day the charge is made. I had to ask THREE times to have that "option" removed from the account. We're done.

Speaking of Paypal, they are on my ****list right now. Someone got ahold of DH paypal debit card number. Must have been on the internet because the card has never left our house. I am having such a hard time trying to get this taken care of. It is DH account so they won't talk to me unless he is here to authorize it. We have asked for lists of everything we are disputing and that was last week. You are supposed to be able to see all of this on their website, but nothing shows up. It is hard to follow the way things are listed, yet if we miss disputing something it is our loss. Of course, this card was linked to our checking account, so it was a backup payment. We are talking hundreds of dollars.

i'm angry at the world, but trying to be nicer.

OK Frank. For centuries we have been working to keep the bar set nice and low. Don't go and raise it on us! :rotfl:

Hush, or I'll tell everyone you said you would kiss Frank for a breakfast like I just had. :lmao:

I'm nicer at the world than I want to be,,try'n to be angrier.

Actually, I agree with Frank. With all the work we've had done on the house, sometimes you have to get angry and mean with folks. I cave too easy, and Rick doesn't and gets incredible deals and gets the work done. Sometimes is embarrases the stew out of me to see him deal with salesmen and service folks, but he LOVES doing that stuff, so I let him.

(I know you are a contractor, Frank, so please don't take this personally) :goodvibes

Had a good angry day yesterday. Gave an insurance rep a piece of my mind. I even took the call on my cell phone and pulled off to the side of the road so that I could give them my undivided attention.

2009 is not starting off well. Someone at the mall has lifted my paypal debit card number and I seem to have bought him many a lunch recently while I was at the Fort. I also seem to have indulged him at Target, $100 worth of gas, and at Walgreens. :headache:

Ahh..this is the right thread. We have to replace our water heater today! :headache: There's $500.00 we weren't counting on having to spend this weekend. Luckily...if you can call it that...Bob can install it himself, so we'll save on that. Homeownership...ain't it grand?...

So much for 2009 being better than 2008...

I guess we can all hope it gets better from here...:confused3 Please God..let it get better...:headache:

I've been hearing this a lot lately..with the pay pal accounts I mean. That's awful...are you responsible for the charges if you dispute them?...This money is gone already right?..Will they replace it?
