Revival of the angry thread!

Ladies, ladies....THIS is precisely why, for the last 2 weeks, somebody else's husband has been in my house finishing all the previously started projects! A girl's got to have a breaking point! :lmao:

I can honestly say that my DH starts & finishes all projects in record time.

What he can't understand is why I get all pizzed off with his timing. He just jumps into a BIG project and never asks what I might have going on. Then, we always get into "the discussion" (it's always the same discussion) about why he never considers what I might have going on & do I have the time to help or be "inconvenienced" by his projects. I always help him (drywall, concrete, framing, plumbing, etc....) - or have to stop what I'm doing and go run & get stuff he forgot to plan for.

All I ask is that he discuss things with me before starting a project (uh...like how much it's going to cost would be a nice start). Now, is that TOO much to ask? I ask you??? Is that TOO MUCH???

Now he would like to build a grill center on the back porch. I would like a grill center....but right now we don't have the extra $$$ to build what I'd like to have. DH looks at the project from the perspective of how much we will save by him building it rather than how much it will cost to complete. I want to sit down, price the components & materials, and then figure how long it will take to stick money aside rather than use the Visa.

Guys....do you think I'm being unreasonable??

If you are a woman I am sure you are unreasonable, i just dont know the details YET .......:lmao:

I, for one, learned years ago NOT to answer that question. At least, not until I am with the guys at a table full of beer and wings at the local sports bar.

Timing, it's all in the timing. :3dglasses

:lmao: :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Ya know what they say....the smartest thing a woman can say will ALWAYS begin with "Well, My husband said ......"

I have to join the club here....Ive been putting off floating the drywall in our master bath for a little over a year now.....I would have gotten to it by now, if I didnt have to lay the 2 rows of tile against the new tub first first.

BUT....FOR THE RECORD.....I didnt START this project....the IGNORANT BRO-N-LAW decided he was going to be my choice of professional plumbers(no family discount either)ripped up the tile and destroyed the drywall getting the new tub into place.

We do have another bath and a half to hold us over till hell freezes over and I decide its time to get'er done!!!

I consider you to be the Oracle when it comes to high maintenance women Rog.

WOW! My first post on the angry thread, I feel special now!

We are leaving for our very first trip to Fort Wilderness this Friday and have been so excited about it all year!

Last night, the heat goes out in the house and the tub water faucet breaks. The plumber we use has the flu so I told him STAY AWAY LOL--DD has pretty bad asthma and has to stay away from sick crud AND I don't want anyone getting sick before we leave right? Right.

The heater guy texts that he will be over this evening, I'm at the grocery store so a family member lets him in as well as brings DD home from ballet.

I come home and hear sick, wet, hacking coughing and sneezing and freak out thinking it's DD. I go into the hall and there is heater dude hacking, and sneezing while DD stands there talking to him.:scared1:

DANGIT!! :headache:
Well.....flu incubation is 2-5 days so I guess we'll know sometime between Wednesday and Saturday.

I wonder if I sprayed Lysol directly up her nose if it would help...........this bites.

Ok, rant over (unless we have to cancel the trip then there will be a rant part deux)

Dang,,Headed to the Fort and got some crud sling'n snot in your house,,
man, I dont know if I'm happy for you or sad for you ??:confused3

Anyone been charged by a Disney resort for a "late check out" when there wasn't one. :confused3 I found an extra nights room charge on our Am-ex, for our stay back on Oct. 2nd. We had an automatic check out as it was linked to the card. Bob and I had to be in another part of Florida and had checked into that resort at around 1 PM. My husband used our Visa card for the second portion of the trip. In any case, I disputed this additional nights charge with American Express. Who said they looked into it. They determined (wrongly) that the Disney resort indicated we didn't check out until 3:45..which is absurd)Maybe mousekeeping didn't go to the room until that time. However, we left at around 10:30 am that very morning. so as to be to our second destination by lunch time. I just don't know how to prove we didn't occupy the Disney room past the check out time. I think American Express is really dropping the ball with this. I had to dispute the charge yet again..differing with their investigation and gave the additional information that we were in another part of Florida at the time the Disney resort said we checked out.
I'm currently attempting to see if I can find the exact time that we checked intot he second resort. I'm not sure American Express will accept this as proof that we didn't check out late..since we didn't use the Amex for the second resort. Did I just confuse everyone..sorry.
I'm so done with American Express as well, it used to be a great card. In recent years..it's a nightmare, and seems one hand doesn't know what the other is doing, and we never seem to be able to talk to someone who speaks English clearly. I'm thinking I'm better off contacting the resort front desk at this point and asking for a manager. Suggestions?....

I would go direct to Disney about it,,,,I'm a hell raiser from way back if things arent right,,SO FAR, I have always managed to get "wrongs by Disney",,"righted again by Disney", by going straight to them.

And it might not hurt if you can produce your check-in time at the other resort.:thumbsup2

I do find that the card companies, are becoming less cooperative every year.

Did you try calling Disney billing directly? The last couple of trips there have been incorrect items on our bill and one phone call each time took care of it

Disney billing...would I contact the front desk of the resort in question..?

This is why I strictly use cash on vacations, except for the initial reservation. Of course, you have to be sure you get receipts for everything. It also keeps the government from tracing my movements. Not that I'm paranoid or anything. What was that sound? Gotta go.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you! :lmao:
