Return of the DisAddict Shubman goes back to sea!

Second daughter home early today with fever. I didn't go to work, only mom remains unscathed!

Good news is, she is a mom and moms don't go down easy. The down side is when they do go down, they go down hard!

Kids and I are back to school today. Mom is still doing well. I hope we are out of it!

My mom always got a new appliance (washer or dryer) every time she got sick... Apparently Dad couldn't do the wash!!!! :lmao:

Another change to add. A personal one, one that is a tad bittersweet. I have struggled with my weight my entire life. When we took our last cruise I was tipping the scales at 250. I have been trying to make less of me to love, I have gotten down to 206 but recently have balloned back up to 214. My next major goal is to get under 200 for the first time since college. I am not going to be too strict on the cruise but when I get back I really need to get it going again. I had hoped to be back down to 206 by cruise time but too little work and too many excuses got in the way.

Mom is making tie-dye mickey mouse t -shirts for our fam to wear onto the ship. Woo Hoo!

Ash...

there is a wonderful person on our thread who I have to admit I shared Mickey Bars with for 2 whole weeks of the PC repo cruise in May... When I found out he was a WW leader I screamed across the post... "OH MAN... I'M SITTIN AT THE OTHER END OF THE TABLE!!!":lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

He is an incredible person and if it means anything, I'm right up there with you... I have a goal to lose 30 lbs by the time I cruise Tortola next Sept...

But the best advice Ian told me was "Be kind to yourself"

He also gained weight on our cruise :rolleyes1 (ok... I wasn't a very good influence on him...) but he started right back when he got back and is doing great....

So...

Go...

Have fun...

Enjoy the Family....

Eat Mickey Bars...

&

Be Kind to yourself...

Ashman,

Seems to me like you made great strides in your weight war.... It is no fun - I know from personal experience.

Tink is right, be kind to yourself, you are on vacation.... Enjoy your time (and the food) and tackle it when you get home!

Okay so here we are, a mere four days away and I feel kinda wierd. Not like sick weird but just wierd. It feels a lot different this time around. We are excited but not as much as last time. I am almost a little scared. Scared that we won't have as much fun as we did last time, scared that the magic won't get the kids. I have been re-reading my first trip report. Great memories but there is a high bar set by that trip. I hope this trip is up to snuff. Combined with the fact I am bringing extended family this time. It's kinda like when family or dear friends come in from out of town and you recommend where to go for dinner. You may have a great history but you feel like it is "your fault" if they have an off night and your friends don't like it. Magnify that by a scale of a 100 that's what I'm feeling right now. Looking forward to some GREAT magic!

Don't worry... I think Mickey and Minnie have it all covered!!!

Bring a sweater though... I hear it's a bit chilly right now... ;)

I'm taking the kids to school this week and we are talking about the cruise. I ask them when should get on the road on Saturday (we will have about an 8 hour drive on Saturday). One kid says, let's get started like at 5 or 5:30!:scared1: The other child says, "Nah Grandma and Grandpa are going to be with us, let's get a later start like 6:30 cuz they can't get up early!" :lmao: I thought this was just oo funy for words, my precious children think 6:30 is a LATE start!

They ARE sleeping in the car the night before... they just haven't mentioned it to you yet... ;)
