We arrive in Disney on Aug 21st thru 28th. I have all planned including FP+ and ADRs based on recommendations per TP & EasyWDW.

It seems with some of the park hours changing, add of EMH and the A&E madness at HS, some of these early recommended parks have now changed, should I be worried and just keep to plan? With my trip only two weeks out now, I'm sure I would have difficulty in changing things around at this point.

This will be our last big family trip for awhile and I really want to enjoy all without being overrun by crazy crowds if a park which was recommended is now not recommended. Any thoughts here?

We are there at the same time....Aug 19 to 26! So excited!!

I would not change anything personally, just my opinion. We've gone many times at the end of August and the crowds are never that bad. With my dining reservations and FP already set up, we'll brave whatever crowds there are and enjoy ourselves regardless. Even being busy, it will not be anything like a 10 crowd so relax!! It will be great!

Wave if you see me in the parks! LOL! :cool1:

I feel your pain! I have the same approach to picking parks and my family only uses a very general touring plan, so I'm sticking to my hard-to-change plans and hoping for the best. Touring plans web site also says that picking parks is important, but arriving at rope drop and following a touring plan matters more to your experience. . . I've not managed to follow THAT advice but thought I'd at least pass it along ;)

We're there (BWV) August 23-30. Our plans were set at our 60 day mark, and after all that stress I would not change a thing. And if we did, say, switch a HS day for Epcot, what would be the odds of getting another TSMM FP+ at a good time? Not to mention A&E or 7DMT ...

More importantly - the parks shouldn't be that crowded. We were there the final week of August last year and the crowds dropped each day; the MK was dead our last day (last Friday of the month). So just use RD and you should be fine.

We'll wave to you from across the lake ...

We will be there at the same time Aug 20-25th! I'm hoping the crowds aren't too bad. Wishing you a happy time!

Just got back, had to plan a quick trip, so first time I went with no real prep work (didn't even have time to check crowd level days)... broke all the rules (went to parks without fast passes on extra magic nights) and it still worked out just fine! :thumbsup2 I didn't even look at the news to see if it was going to rain that week. My point is, some times you just have to wing it and it worked perfectly for me, even if I felt weird going without my usual 100 point detailed perfect touring plan. :3dglasses

I definitely get the feeling too--we're visiting the world and US in 10 days, and I've second guessed touring plans too. But I will say that 2 years ago, we visited the world with my partners family for Christmas and New Years. The parks were at 10s for most of our stay, and most days the parks were at capacity by lunchtime. It was a constant zoo. But we stuck to the touring plans we had and did everything we wanted to. I know some have said that the amount you can get done at rope drop with FP+ isn't comparable to the legacy FP system, but I think the folks at touring plans are incorporating data from the new system as fast as possible, so I'm hoping they're still pretty accurate. Stick to the plans you've put so much time and work into, and I'm sure you'll have a wonderful vacation!

We're there the same week! :)

And honestly I wouldn't worry about it too much. DHS will be crowded if you attend a Frozen day, during your trip the 23rd would be the best day to hit up DHS crowd wise if you were okay skipping the summer fun and fantasmic.

Things will effect crowds a little bit, but don't go out of your way to attempt to re organize them. Between adrs & fp+'s its super hard to re arrange things now a days, if you have any parks that are a "red" day and not just because of EMH, then maybe consider it, but you should be fine!
