Orange Julius
There is at least 1 Sizzler left--it's outside the Sunrise Mall in Massapequa.
Hey one just opened in the cheapo mall near us.
Orange Julius
There is a Ponderosa is Wisconsin and Golden Corral's are opening like crazy too all over Wisconsin. My ds Matt told me someone misses thier food court from college, so the opened a Golden Corral-he refuses to eat there.I see several people have mentioned Sizzler. I remember going there a lot as a kid. I know Golden Corral is still around. What about Western Sizzlin', Ponderosa, and Bonanza?
Burger Chef and jeff, Mr Steak, Woolworth's Department store diner, and A & W Drive Inn
I saw several mentions of A&W drive ins. We never had any of them in northern NJ but we did have Stewarts.

I miss Stewarts.
That's a shocker, you'd be perfect for them! If it wasn't for the ex husband, I may have never made it over to our shared employer. Plamondon treated their managers VERY well.

Anyone remember VICTORIA STATION? The restaurant was inside a red train caboose and had the *best steaks ever*! I ate at one in Charlotte, Atlanta and Tampa. Maybe they were only in the southeast?![]()

I miss Stewarts.
My mom used to work at Burger Chef before I was born. I have a Burger Chef apron somewhere!![]()

Does anyone remember Rax? I know I ate there alot, but all I can remember are their Chocolate Chip shakes.
How about Chi-Chi's? My favorite meal was the Cancun (seafood enchiladas) and whatever was the Margarita of the Month.
wow a lot of these we have EVERYWHERE here, like: Bennigan's, Sonic, Jack in the Box, Whataburger(maybe it's cause it began in Texas?), Little Cesars...
anyway...my big missed place is somewhere I'm certain they didn't have in the north and not sure if it even exists anywhere in the south anymore...but it was Po Folks...checkered table clothes, drank out of mason jars, they had the BEST fried chicken and had the most awesome shirts that every one had when I was little:

I can't recall if East Side Mario's and Shoney's are all closed now or not.
In my area, we've had so many restaurants close. Most of the chains are still in business elsewhere, though. Ground Round, Sizzler, Roy Rogers, Perkins, Howard Johnson, Little Caesar's, Pizza Hut (had two, now just one), Burger King (same as Pizza Hut), Don Pablo, Red Robin, Woolworth's, Sbarro, Rainforest Cafe, Orange Julius, Famous Recipe... so many good places left us.
We still have Ponderosa, though. Barf.
El Torito. Supposedly my brother and DSIL saw one in CA, but I miss the one a mile from my house.
