Before I answer, here's a disclaimer: we don't live in the USA. So some of my suggestions you may pooh-pooh away because you have the same chains in your own back yard. We don't have any of them here in the Great White North so they are novel for us when on vacation in Orlando.
Here's our family favourites:
Olive Garden
TGI Fridays
Chili's
Cracker Barrel
Golden Corral
Cici's Pizza (for lunch)
Friendly's
I would also highly recommend the Outta Control Dinner Show at Wonderworks. The food is good (nothing spectacular, mind you, but still very good.....the main course is pizza, which quite honestly you can't jazz up THAT much no matter how hard you try....plus there is salad, popcorn, and white cake for dessert) but the entertainment is outstanding. Tony Brent is a one man show that's part magician, part comedian, and will have you laughing until your sides hurt. His show is good for all ages, has tons of audience participation, and not so long that small kids will have a hard time sitting through it (about 90 minutes from the time you are seated until you are out the door). The food is served family style right to your table, is all you can eat, and the price (which is about $22.99 pp, less if you can find an online discount or coupon) includes all you care to enjoy alcoholic (and non-alcoholic) beverages. Parking is super cheap at Pointe Orlando next door (I think we paid $3 for the evening). If you can squeeze it in, its an awesome night.
