Restaurants and strollers?

If you are traveling with an infant that has to be in a stroller(can't sit up on their own) what do you do while in a restaurant. Do they allow you to bring the stroller to the table? When we brought DD when she was 9mo, we just used the hi chairs, and that was 5 yrs. ago! I am not sure which places this wouldn't be possible at, like not enough room for people to walk by with a stroller in the way! My mother is offering a trip to WDW and it would be in the beginning of May and my son will be 2mo old and I am just trying to figure out how this might work. I'm having a hard time turning down her offer!! Thanks for any input

Only a couple times have we had them offer to let us bring in the stroller, it was at less crowded times when DD was asleep. My best suggestion for that age would be either use the infant carrier/stroller combo, as you can take them in their carrier anyplace, or if that is heavier tan you want to consider... I had my best times with my 3 week old in her snugli. In fact, when we went back and she was 8 months old I used the snugli again. It was great for the slower rides, shopping and getting around, and she loved being able to see everything.

When we took our DS for the first time he was 4 months old. They had one of those car seat/carrier thingys to seat him in. It was as tall as a highchair. Also as the previous poster said to use a infant carrier/stroller combo. I agree the regular stroller might be to bulky to bring with you. You might want to consider a snap and go stroller. It is just a metal frame that holds the carseat/carrier. Actually I just bought one today for my 3 month old. This what it looks like

Funny you should ask this question. We were in Disney a couple of weeks ago traveling with our 6 month old daughter. We had the same concerns. When we made PS's, we mentioned that we had an infant. When the cast member asked if we needed a booster seat or high chair, we explained that she was too young to sit up on her own. So when we checked in for each restaurant, we asked if we could bring the stroller in. We were usually given a table of 4, and rolled her up on one side of the table. It was perfect! Here is where we ate:

Concourse Steakhouse (dinner)
Beaches and Cream (lunch)
Boma (dinner)
Flying Fish Cafe (dinner)
Chefs de France (lunch)

Disney World is a large family resort, so I hope that you will have all pleasant experiences. I probably wouldn't bring an infant to Victoria & Albert's. Where are you planning on eating?

We too took our 3 month old and always asked to bring in the stroller...we were always told "absolutely" here is where we ate:

Narcosses
Nine Dragons
Chefs de France
