Restaurant reviews and recipes...formerly Disney QOTD

I guess I'll have to visit AK on my next trip as well, which won't be until Jan 2011.

QOTD 8-26

Which resorts have you stayed at?
Which ONE was your favorite?

Dixie Landings (1999)--I think that's now called Riverside
All Star Movies (2004, 2005)
Poly (2006, 2008)
Pop (2007)

I love the Poly, but Pop is really fun. Actually, I've loved all the onsite hotels I've stayed at. I'd stay at any one of them again without hesitation. If money is no object, then I'd stay at the Poly.

Poly - many years ago when I was in my early 20s
OKW - '06, '07, and '08
BCV - '08, '09

Poly was my first stay on property and loved it. I stayed there with a girlfriend, we had the best time. This was when MK was the only park.

Recently my favorite is BCV, love being able to just walk to EPCOT and a short boat ride to DHS.

We've stayed at:

POR......(during DxL days and more recently)....it was the first place we stayed (7 times)
POFQ (once)
ASMo (twice)
POP (once)
OKW (3 times)
DGC (3 times)
SSR (first time next month)

Favorite of all is DGC :teeth:
WDW favorite is POR

POFQ and Riverside, and Riverside only because they had POFQ closed.

Soon will be trying BLT and I am nervous about not staying at POFQ.

All-Star Sports (4)
All-Star Movies (1)
CBR (2)
CSR (4)
AKL (1)
POP (4)

My favorite of all: Coronado Springs just love it. :goodvibes

We have stayed at:

Port Orleans French Quarter(3)
Port Orleans Riverside (2)
Pop Century (1)
Caribbean Beach (1)
Villas at Wilderness Lodge (1)
Animal Kingdom Lodge (1) AKV in April with our friends for the first time!!!
Old Key West (10)
Boardwalk Villas (6)
Saratoga Springs (5)
Contemporary Resort (1) BLT for the first time in December!!

We have also stayed at the Swan and Dolphin hotels quite a few times.I know technically not a "Disney" hotel but it's so close to EPCOT and DHS that it sure feels like one!! ;) I really enjoyed my stays there! Also stayed at Disney's Vero Beach Resort! Not a WDW resort but it does belong to Disney. We went here after a 10 day vacation at WDW and we just had one of the most relaxing 6 days ever!! Great place to unwind!!;):thumbsup2

CBR twice, 3 in Oct.
Swan (non Disney but, on property)
OKW

several off-sites

Every place had it's plusses, for reasons of traveling at the time but, I guess by reason of repetition only, CBR.

My lottery stay - GF!!! :cool1:

That leads us into the OOTD 8-27

What Disney resort would you like to stay at that you have NOT stayed at before?

I would ike to stay at WL, so I think next trip (in a couple of years) we will try VWL

The one I haven't stayed at and would love to try the most is the Poly!! :thumbsup2 We have had ressies there twice but always backed out and stayed vacation club!!! Maybe they will put DVC at the Poly next......................!!!! ;):confused3:laughing: One can only hope!!!;):rotfl:

I had dinner at Whispering Canyons (which was OK) but was blown away by how beautiful the resort looked.

26/8 - At WDW I have stayed in a 2 bedroomed villa at the Beach Club Villas and Animal Kingdom Lodge savannah view.
At Disneyland Paris I have stayed in the New York and the Disneyland Hotel (my favourite as at Paris you get breakfast as part of your room rate and the breakfast room is right over the turnstyles for the park so you have your breakfast every day looking straight down Main Street at the castle!)
At Disneyland we stayed at the Grand Californian theme park view.

27/8 - The only hotel I would probably like to stay in that I haven't is the Grand Floridian, but then again I choose not to stay there because I prefer the location of the Beach Club. Maybe one day we will book a few nights there just so I can say I have stayed there.

The other hotel I want to stay in is the Disneyland Hotel in Hong Kong and the Tokyo Disneyland hotel. When we do get around to visiting those parks over the next few years those are the hotels we will stay in.

We have never stayed on-site. :sad2:

We love Wilderness Lodge though, and would LOVE to stay there at Christmas time. I have seen pictures, and know it would be beautiful in person!
