Restaurant booking issues

Is anyone having trouble with the restaurant booking system? Couldn't book the buffet restaurants for a table for 4 end of June in either park, with a message saying no availability, but when putting in for a table for 5, lots of time options came up. Couldn't book at table for 4 at the Plaza Gardens but could book 2 tables for 2 under separate email accounts for exactly the same time. What is going on?! Anyone else had a similar issue?

That's not uncommon in Paris or other parks, I had the same when I tried to book tables in Disneyworld or Disneyland California. 2 separate tables of 2 are not the same as 1 table for 4 in a reservation system.

How a restaurant booking system is programmed:
A table for 2 can seat 1 or 2 guests
A table for 4 can seat 3 or 4 guests
A table for 6 can seat 5 or 6 guests
etc.

I would probably book for 5 and have 1 person "not show up". Booking 2 tables of 2 will not guarantee that you will be seated together.
 
I’m having booking issues also. I’m selecting my date, party of 2, and then Lunch. I see several time slots open for Remy. I select one, enter my contact info, then get an “oops, an error has occurred” message.

This has happened constantly since last week on my phone, my laptop, and my husband’s phone. This is happening only with Remy, though. I was able to book a different restaurant with no issue. I guess I need to just call. I wish I could email instead of dealing with calling internationally.

If you are in the US, call WDW and ask to be transferred to Paris. Keep the time difference in mind.
 

At WDW I think they even restrict tables for one. When I travel alone, if I cannot find a table for 1, I book one for 2, then edit the reservation to 1 guest only (just to be sure to avoid the no-show fee for a second guest). Not sure if it's the same at DLP, never tried.
