Restaurant Akershus question?

Are all the meals at Restaurant Akershus becoming character meals? I can't seem to find a definite answer anywhere. I guess I will have to break down and call Disney.
We have wanted to eat at that buffet the last few visits, but never made it. Have we missed it entirely?

We have teenage boys who do NOT want to eat with the princesses...

Yes, all the meals there are now Princess meals. I'm sorry.

There will be Princess Lunch and Dinner effective April 10. You still have a few weeks before this disaster happens.

I'm glad you asked this question--I was wondering too. Another question--are they going to mess with the menu when it goes to all Princess meals? I really liked this restaurant as it was (trying hard not to whine).

Just had WDW call me after my email asking 'WHY is it changing' and was told Princess meals were in demand but couldn't answer why Akershus had been chosen!!! As for the style of meal no more buffet all family style

Surely Disney must be aware of the disquiet over this move. I am pretty upset. It was our family's favorite restaurant

Puhlease--not another chicken/meat/potatoes kind of family style?! Augh! WHY O WHY O WHY O WHY O WHY O WHY O WHY O WHY O WHY?
Why not Restaurant Marrakesh--they could have done a whole Aladdin thing there. Why Akershus? This throws a wrench in my itinerary!

I called and the CM read me the new menu--doesn't sound very Norwegian. I am sad. But will get over it and find a new favorite restaurant.

Well that is disappointing. I was really hoping that they would leave one meal more Norwegian and not have characters. Now that my kids are older we are trying all the unique places.

Can there really be that many people who want to eat with a princess?
(Now if they did some villians I might not be complaining...)
