Greetings:

Anybody have any good tips on where a mother-to-be can catch some rest and maybe some air conditioning in the Magic Kingdom. It doesn't look like we'll be able to break away for naps, ect. Much thanks.

There is a baby station, but I'm not sure whats inside-my baby is 16. There are a lot of benches both in high and low traffic areas. Most of the rides have airconditioning, you just need to learn how to "work" Fast Pass, to avoid time in line. The restaurants also have AC.

The baby center over next to Crystal Palace is wonderful!

Also any of the indoor attractions are nice and air conditioned.

The baby stations, from what I remember (my 'baby' is 10!!) have rocking chairs and soothing low lights, (provided they are not occupied by a nursing mother!)

Sounds like a good place to rest for a short time.

Have fun!

the only thing which got me through a vicious pregnancy and June heat were the first aid centers. Pregnant moms-to-be are welcomed to come in a take a nap. They will give you a bed, a pillow, a blankie and turn out the overhead florescents. I would go in and lie down for about an hour while the rest of the family did stuff I wasn't allowed on. It was a life saver.

Last trip I was 6 months pregnant and just took it easy. We had toddlers with us as well, so they weren't exactly moving at lightning speed :)

We just stopped for a drink of soda and sat down whenever we could - there are benches and seats EVERYWHERE in WDW. You will find little places in the shade or on a curb that are perfect for a little rest - and most are wonderfully positioned near the entrances and exits for the rides. They have snack stands all over, too, and you can grab some cinnamon almonds or a turkey leg or something to drink (or a Mickey Bar!) while the others are on their ride :)

wow, thanks for the great tips. i'll be 6.5 months pregnant when we go to wdw in may. your tips will be really helpful!

Besides the baby center, there's a small, 40-seat movie theater in the Exposition Hall on Main Street. If you've just entered the MK, and are at the train station on Main Street, face the castle. To your right is a white building. Go in the white building, all the way to the back center, and you'll find the theater. It's cool, dark, and usually not crowded. I've napped there, and I don't think you'd have any trouble relaxing for a good 30 minutes.

Hope this helps!

another nice idea is to ride the monorail to epcot and back. It's not usually crowded, and is a restful way to get off of your feet.

You can also do the Hall of Presidents, which is a good 20 minute nap. I'm sure they would let you stay for a second (or third showing) if you wanted to stay seated.

Epcot has quite a few places for you to sit and relax and see a show. The Universe of Energy is 45 minutes long so that could give you a good mini nap. The American Adventure is also about a half hour long in the AC as well. The countries almost all have a movie or a show to watch that will give you some time to sit and relax for a little while in the AC
