Responses from the BLACK HOLE

As Responisble Adults(well i am not and half others are not but just pretend), I think as a board write a letter to vmk. We should put in good thing and bad things about vmk. Start a fake email and sign it many aynomous people because i don't know how they would react to cl's right them bad letters. I would love to get some things off my shoulders and i think many others, too. Though encourge them to make changes, not just bad mouth them. We all love are vmk and yet we don't. So we have to find a way to make this the sweetest place ever!

Ok, I am fed up with vmk events and staff. First of all, why has my 2 month old CL application not been replied to? Second, after the maze fiasco, which you chalked up to ' ghosts ' instead of saying you were wrong, when a bunch of people asked ' why don’t you open more rooms to make lines more manageable?' and today we have to wait in lines of 770+ people? Lastly, the prizes for the costume contest? That is just sad and rude to the players who worked hard to come up with the costumes, why should some get inferno while others get a pumpkin? Look at the mobs of angry people on vmk forums, who spent hours today trying to get into the badly designed event. I have even read of a person who was so upset that she is considering not going to DLR for quests but sea world. Then the banning of CL_Adioskater for dressing up like staff for Halloween? Why? I have seen and reported players saying sexual comments and other sick things, and they get one day bans, then he dresses like staff and BOOM! He is banned till 2017. Also, half the staff I have had the displeasure of meeting are quite mean. I ask a question and they say I don’t know very rudely and then either boot me or tell them to write here, to what we vmkers call the black hole, because we very rarely if ever get a response. Bottom line, staff is paid to make games and answer questions, not blow people off when they don’t have the answer that would look good. And now they say not to talk to them about it? I think you should let the CLs do all the in game events; they can handle it much better and are way nicer than staff. I know of kids that cried over this debacle, which is the worst show in Disney history in my opinion, kids crying about something Disney does. I think Walt would be ashamed of the way things were handled, even if I never knew him. I would NEVER see this at a real Disney park, and why should your virtual parks be ANY different from the real ones?
 
I wote this, still waiting on a reply, if i get auto-response they will need to get a mailbox upgrade for the amount of stuff i'll be sending them...

I would just like to make a comment on the event today, I realise that you will probably have a tonne of these to go through but I would still like to have my say.

My experience of the event was as follows: Got home from work, logged on to VMK, got in line of 689 people, got in the room, got to the front of the line in the room, staff closed the gate and said hold on for a moment, i waited and waited, as soon as she(i think it was a she) got back i lost connection. I ask you, how fair is that? We do all the waiting to get into the room and staff do not even have the decency to remain at their posts for the time it takes to ope m a gate! There was another member of staff in the room, I'm sure she could have operated the gate...no? It would be nice if I was compensated for my time waiting in line and the error by your staff.

There is a common problem within the game that I am sure you are aware of; when the servers are running at a high capacity many people find it hard to maintain connection for more than 45 minutes at a time. That said how do you expect people to enter a room with a queue length of 689 people and manage to get into the room without losing connection?! This sort of thing takes very little thought, I noticed this was implemented half way through the last maze event due to troubles people were having, USE MORE THAN ONE ROOM. If you use more than one room the queue length is cut dramatically thus making more people happy. Now I realise you may have trouble implementing this for future events (we all know how fickle VMK players can be, they always want to go to the room at the top of the popular guest room list) it also may be difficult due to the amount of resources you have to run the event, if this is the case do you think this is the right time to be doing these events, why not wait until you have enough staff before attempting something on this scale?

A great deal of my course deals with problem solving and decision making along with systems analysis and design.
