I am so overwhelmed by my choices!!!

What I am looking for is a one night stay at a resort type facility that has enought stuff to do onsite that we won't have to leave.

A place with an awesome pool, a play area, maybe a mini golf course.

It is DH, me, kids 4 and 6.

We are looking to spend under $200 a night.

Any suggestions?? I was looking at Star Island resorts, but am wondering if it is kid friendly?

HIFS just seems a little to casual to me, but it might be an option.

Thanks!!

We are going down for a short weekend trip in Sept. and are planning our first stay at HIFS. It looks great in the travel guides, and the Unofficial Guide says its great too. We are booking through AAA and our rate is $99 per night. When are you going? If you are going after us I will let you know how it is.

We are going later this month - staying at the Wyndham Palms Resort and Country Club. We booked a two bedroom villa (1552 square feet) on hotelkingdom.com for $89 per night. I have read many good reviews of the Wyndham Palms on this board and am hopeful that it is going to be a great place to stay.

I will write a trip report when we return on July 23rd.

Thanks guys for the tips! I'm not going till October 18th, so I have some time.

I also booked a 2 bedroom, 2 bath at the Wyndham Palms for next week. I also used www.hotelkingdom.com and got the $89/night rate.

From what I read it is supposed to be really nice. 1552 square feet with screened porch, miniture golf course, and a regulation golf course.

I have not stayed there before but I will let you know how it was when we get back.

Bobby

Just wanted to confirm your opinion that HIFS is pretty casual. Definitely not a plush resort. It can still be fun and your kids would no doubt love it, but it sounds like you are looking for something more upscale.

Hi,

Definitely check out Vistana Resort. The Resort is huge with lots of amenities and there two bedroom villas are beautiful. You can book at www.HotelmartUSA.com and get the 5th night free. That is a great deal for a beautiful resort
