Resort Pools

I know I have seen this somewhere on the boards but can't find it now (Of course) . We are staying at Pop Aug 12-19th and plan to take a break in the afternoons. I know Pop has several pools but are resort guests able to use ANY resort pools? How do they know if you are staying at that particular resort? If anyone has any answers, please let me know.

You are only allowed to use the pool at the resort you are staying at. If you go to another resort and use the pool the lifeguard, or another resort employee may ask to see your room key. If you are caught at the wrong resort you will be asked to leave.

The only exception to using another pool is if you are a DVC member staying on points. DVC members are allowed to pool hop. DVC members are not allowed to pool hop to Stormalong Bay at the Beach Club or the Azuma Pool at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. All other pools are open to DVC members except during holiday periods.

You'll be getting lots of different answers here....I guess you'll have to choose the one you like best. The official rule states that you can swim in the pool/s at the resort you are staying at only. SO, if at POP you can choose one of the three pools. But, you are't allowed to head over to the Polynesian and use the Volcano Pool. How would they know you weren't staying there? They may not. However, at SAB, you will need to show your resort key card in order to get the wristband you'll need for swimming there.
So.....some will tell you it's just fine to pool-hop, others will tell you the stated rules...you decide.

As the first poster said, the Disney rules are the pools are to be used only by the guests staying there.

It really doesn't matter what others think you should be able to do when the policies clearly state otherwise.

Not sure how you can't find it, there are three threads about it in the first two pages.

Every pool in WDW has a sign that specifically states that it is for the exclusive use of registered guests of that particular resort. That should answer your question.

You aren't wrong, but I've got a bit more to add--

Those staying at eother Port Orleans resort can use any pool at either PO resort as well.

Hi, fellow Clevelander!
I know you have gotten your answer, many times over, by now. I don't know if you have ever been to WDW satying onsite before, but you won't be wanting to pool-hop I am guessing, especially with kids. We thought going back to our own hotel (to change in the sanctity of our own rooms + shower afterward) was enough of a pain!

Have a blast at POP. If you have younger kids, don't forget they have Goofy Sprayjets there.
