Does anyone know offhand what the deposit is on a resort only booking? Is it one nights stay?

What about resort and part tickets?

Thanks

Resort only is a one night deposit, nightly rate plus the 12.5% tax.

Resort and park tickets (thus essentially becomes a hotel package) is a $200.00 deposit and the balance is due 45 days before your arrival. Happy planning:goodvibes

Just to add to the PPs info: If you want to keep your reservation to room-only, you can purchase your park tickets separately. This is assuming that you don't also want a dining plan which would require you to purchase a vacation package.

You can buy your park tickets from an authorized seller like Undercover Tourist, AAA etc (check out mousesavers.com for other sources). Or you can purchase them when you arrive at your resort, once you've checked in.

Yes. If you are sticking with room only- and don't want the DDP or if free dining comes out- you can buy your park tix from Undercover tourist and save some $. Sign up for the Mousesavers.com newsletter to get an extra little discount. If I can save between $10 to $20 dollars a ticket- to me that's money in my pocket for a suvie or meal! I've used UT a couple of times, before I had APs. Great service.

The other thing about room only is the cancellation policies are much more lenient than packages - with a room only you can cancel and get your deposit back if you do it less than 6 days prior to arrival. With a package there is a cancellation fee of $100 if you cancel between 45 and 6 days out, and $200 if you cancel within 5 days of arrival.

However, if you decide later you want a dining plan or something like that, you can't just switch a room only reservation to a package, it needs to be cancelled and rebooked.

More then six days prior you can get the money back;)
