Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

DD17 wants to stay at the CR. Someone please tell me, how is a Garden Wing-Standard View room?

Your whole family has Dischangeitis (did I spell that right):rotfl: I think the rooms are the same as the tower rooms, just in a different building. I never stayed there.

Well we have switched from POR to All Star Sports on a cash reservation and now booked at AKV and staying put without choice and staying on DVC points..(lowest in DVC points! ):thumbsup2 So I think it may be a good thing! It is SO ADDICTING!!

It is so addicting!!! We have each other for enabling, I mean encouraging:lmao:

Believe it or not, when we stayed at CBR it was the only trip I didn't have the urge to switch! I loved it so much and had been wanting to try it for so long. I didn't even try to do a split! I love the walk across the bridge to OPR. :lovestruc Knowing I can't stay there for another few years is torture!

I'm not a fan of the DIScounts this year! FD (although I never book it) had to be booked by December 20th. GP discounts coming out 8 months in advance. NO AP DISCOUNTS?! This is nonsense!!!

Well I'm trying to hold firm with CBR, though the desire to switch to either POR or AKL is killing me...

If they do happen to come out with an AP discount, even two weeks ahead of my trip, I'm booking something else. I would have to at that point! :)

disneydreamin247 And the princess suite is the only room at the poly that fits the 7 of us except 2 adjoining rooms. I was encouraged (not too much arm twisting by the CM) to book now before it fills up.

I'm still  with envy. what a lovely looking suite! And with a Castle view to boot. :guilty: Lucky lucky you! :goodvibes

:lmao: It is addicting! And now with DVC points you can't switch - that's the one thing I really like about DVC - no wriggle room. :goodvibes

kaffinito There's room for 2 more. You and disneydreaming247 can room in. But your kids will be mad. soooooooooooooo you guys can come hang in the room for fireworks. The kids can all be crazy together. The poly will never know what hit it!:rotfl:

Well that goes without saying!!! Discounts are a horse of a different color. Once those come out it's like a free for all!

ASD party! :rotfl: We may be the first people banned from ever returning to Disney property without committing an actual crime.

:rotfl2: We could get tarred and feathered for that one! :rotfl:

Hey! When are you guys going anyway? We're booked at the end of August. :goodvibes

Thanks!

What happened to the Poly? Are you that fickle?

The what? Where? Oh, that Poly. You pay close attention:thumbsup2 Umm, it's my stand-by on again, off again resort. I had forgotten about all my bad memories of our last visit when we bailed after 3 nights and headed back to our favorite resort (which isn't available), the CR Tower. I keep trying to wipe the memory out and insert a better one, but then I go and read threads and reviews that remind me about my bad feelings about it and I just can't book it.

I'm now considering a BC Deluxe room. What do you guys think? We stayed at the YC/Regatta Club in August and I bailed from there after only one night. There was nothing wrong with the YC, it just didn't feel "right" and I missed the CR's Tower view and room style and walking to the MK, so we switched to the Atrium Club. Which, BTW, is so far my least favorite club level.

If I do make a change, it would be the 8 nights WL/CL portion of our split-stay. We just stayed there in December, but DH was in Afghanistan and couldn't join us and he loves the WL, but we're not crazy about the smaller rooms and not being able to walk or monorail anywhere. The CR is our favorite, but it's not available at all and I'm trying to get a third use out of our AP's before they expire. It doesn't help that DH (the enabler) said he didn't care about using the AP's again and to just go whenever I think is best:headache:.

Now what should I do? Leave WL/CL as is? Go over to the darkside (BC/Deluxe room) or change our dates to when the CR Tower is available? I may have to go back to those old pro/con sheets of trips past:scratchin

DD17 wants to stay at the CR. Someone please tell me, how is a Garden Wing-Standard View room?

With a SV/GW room you'll have a view of the South Wing parking lot, but you'll also be very close to the Tower. For a little more, if you can swing it, upgrade to the Garden View and request a room facing Bay Lake. If it's available, you'll have a gorgeous dead-on water and partial beach view. The second and third floors do not have balconies, however, the ground floors have great patios. All GW rooms are identical to all non-suite rooms in the Tower (not including the 14th Tower Club floor). Even if you don't get a room facing Bay Lake, the other GV rooms would face the pool or the canal and they're nice views, too, but they still will not have a balcony.

If there's anything else you'd like to know about the CR, feel free to ask!

We're booked Sept 20-29.

Notice I'm still here? Yup, baby won't budge! Even after a day of shopping.
It never ceases to impress me when women can keep those things in there so long:laughing:. My only one couldn't wait to come out 6 weeks early (my water broke at 32 weeks) and in Seoul, Korea no less.

Congratulations on keeping your little one safe and sound for sooooo long:goodvibes

Oh, gosh! That must have been so scary. Was everything alright?
My babies like to cook a while lol. When I waddled into the doctor's office tonight to pick up some paperwork the girls just looked at me sympathetically. One of them told me the doctors in the practice are all impressed I'm so patient and haven't even called them to see if they could do anything. I guess they get a lot of women who start harassing them once they hit their due date. Not me! I'm enjoying the excuse to eat, eat, eat! :rotfl:

It was VERY scary, but, she's 12 now and is tall and hungry all the time! She was a little over 5 pounds and only stayed in the NICU a week and never needed anything except some light therapy for a little jaundice - we were very lucky. So glad that's all in the past.

When you feel up to it, we'd love some photos of the little "changer-in-training!" Wow, looks like she'll be making her first visit to the Poly (or is it GF?) at 6 months?

I just hate to hear about scary things happening to babies. They're so tiny and helpless and it breaks my heart. I remember DS having surgery at 7 weeks old and I cried and cried when I had to hand him over to the surgeon. It was so scary! You'd never know he had stomach surgery since he can put away junk food like it's nobody's business! :rotfl: Ask him to eat a vegetable it's another story (I swear I have no idea where he gets that from! :rolleyes1)

She's going to be staying at both! What a lucky little princess. I didn't even get to stay on property AT ALL until I started taking DS myself. My family always stayed offsite. Oh, the horror. :sad2:

Hey! When are you guys going anyway? We're booked at the end of August. :goodvibes

This year we are going Aug 22-sept 1st. We will be at GF from Aug 28th til the 1st. Next year I picked May 6th-it's nurses day, then the next weekend is mother's day and DD 5th b-day. The end of the month is DD 6th bday and DH birthday we can clump in (beginning of June) for good measure. And I guess it's too early to plan 2013 yet:rotfl:

disneydreamin247I am surprised to see you here still. My last one, I was cleared of bedrest at 36 weeks, went out food shopping and went into labor that night. Only my first DS stayed cooking for 11 days past my due date. My friends called me Grimace because all I did was eat McDonalds. Gained 90 pounds, just lost the last of the weight last year:rotfl: Hang in there

We didn't LOVE BC, DH said it wasn't for us, and he is saying the same about GF. He's loving the Poly idea though. Pros/cons sheets....yup I have a spiral notebook:lmao:I would definitely keep WL for DH he deserves it. Then....hold out for CR Tower. I am on a monorail resort kick if you can't tell

Beach club for you it sounds like.....

I talked DD17 into an Epcot resort and she wants the BW! Sooo...if I switch, it will be my 4th resort. I'm too embarassed to call and switch just yet! :guilty: Epcot is our favorite park so why not?!
