Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

Not to go off topic but Im even worse with dining ressies!:scared1::scared1::3dglasses:coffee:

That's why I'm trying to get my resort settled so when my ADR time comes in June I can mess around with those! :goodvibes
I just feel like a dumdum calling and talking to a CM to switch resorts and they will know it's my 4th resort!

Dont feel bad, they are used to us. I think we go to a special CM:lmao:

This year we are going Aug 22-sept 1st. We will be at GF from Aug 28th til the 1st. Next year I picked May 6th-it's nurses day, then the next weekend is mother's day and DD 5th b-day. The end of the month is DD 6th bday and DH birthday we can clump in (beginning of June) for good measure. And I guess it's too early to plan 2013 yet:rotfl:

disneydreamin247I am surprised to see you here still. My last one, I was cleared of bedrest at 36 weeks, went out food shopping and went into labor that night. Only my first DS stayed cooking for 11 days past my due date. My friends called me Grimace because all I did was eat McDonalds. Gained 90 pounds, just lost the last of the weight last year:rotfl: Hang in there

My kids are stubborn right from the get go! lol This should tell me what I'm in for for the next 18 years. I gained 85 lbs with DS, I've gained 60 with this one. I don't even eat differently or terribly! The doctor told me some women's bodies just have different reactions to hormones. Gee, thanks. Mine make me a whale. Although, I don't look like I've gained 60 pounds. I still wear the same size maternity pants I did at 13 weeks, my rings still fit (even I'm surprised at that!), and my face has only become swollen the past 2 or 3 weeks. I'm hoping it won't be that hard for me to lose it this time. With DS it took 5 years. :scared1: I don't want to be a land whale for 5 years this time!

So I will be changing my resort. Which resort I will be changing to? I don't know, but it looks like I might be staying at a deluxe resort. I asked my grandma to come along and she doesn't want to stay in a resort with a catwalk (no exterior room doors). So much for staying at All-Star Sports like we did 11 years ago. She still wants to stay on-site so that means it's going to be a deluxe hotel. :scared1: She even said it will be on her. My grandma is giving me a heart attack. :sad2: Even with the PIN I have, it will still be at least $200/night. I couldn't imagine spending that much money. Hopefully she will let me know what hotel she wants to stay at so I can see if there is availability. Luckily I already booked a room so I can just switch and add on a day without any problems. They don't know I have a hotel booked already, so I just told them the expiration date was extended an extra week. :rolleyes1

I talked DD17 into an Epcot resort and she wants the BW! Sooo...if I switch, it will be my 4th resort. I'm too embarassed to call and switch just yet! :guilty: Epcot is our favorite park so why not?!

Ooh! I LOVED BWI! It's a great resort. I didn't want to stay there at all, but ended up booking it in desperation and loved it! :)

BWI was our 4th switch:rotfl:My DS fell in love with the pool. Plus there was a discounted Deluxe Room which is CL. Heck yeah why not!?! CR Fan has some great BWI posts with pictures, you'll fall in love....for today....

No no no. She'll fall in love with BWI for forever. :thumbsup2

Take it from the gal who changed resorts 9 times in one day. They're used to some of us.... ;)

Aww - you'll lose it! With two kids to chase around you'll work those extra pounds off in no time. 80 pounds with DS10. I craved blueberry pancakes with lots of butter, and carried them around in baggies in my purse.

Why not let her look at pics of WL and AKL! They are really nice deluxes, and she might like one of those. :)

My main craving lately has been steak. Every single day a big fat steak. I should start carrying steaks around with me! :rotfl:

In baggies. Don't forget the baggies. ;) It's so much better when you pull the "food of choice" out of your purse in public. :lmao:

:lmao: I'm mucho disappointed that I went all the way to Outback to get some take out and when I got home my steak was literally mooing off the plate. Then I tried to cook it more in the broiler and overcooked it which resulted in my hormones spiraling out of control and me crying that I spent $20 that's in the garbage. :sad2: You can bet your bottom dollar I sent them a strongly worded email about that!

Hello it's me again. I have a huge problem. :rolleyes1
I want to stay at an Epcot resort. :guilty::upsidedow
I guess my CR/GW description didn't sell you? My head hangs low.

I know I couldn't do a good job of selling you on an Epcot resort seeing that I left YC/CL after only one night of what was to be an 8 night stay and now I can't seem to convince myself to stay at a Deluxe BC room (even with 40% off). If anyone can help convince me then I can help convince bitohoney...

Sorry, but I can't seem to sell myself on an Epcot resort. With young kids it just doesn't seem appealing to me. Besides, at a monorail resort I'm just a ride away from Epcot anyway.

She looked at the resorts and is liking the Boardwalk, but she said I could choose whichever resort I want to stay at! :scared1: I love my gramma, but she is going to kill me before we even get on the plane. :rotfl: I told her that I'm ok with whichever she wants and that I was looking at the Contemporary because the monorail goes through it and the monorail goes to Epcot and MK, which are the parks I want to go to the most, plus I have a reservation at the California Grill so we could go back to our room right after dinner. I will see if she likes that idea. :)

Did she see pics of it yet? Will she like the corridors that hang over the monorail? I will keep my fingers crossed for you. :)

The what? Where? Oh, that Poly. You pay close attention:thumbsup2 Umm, it's my stand-by on again, off again resort. I had forgotten about all my bad memories of our last visit when we bailed after 3 nights and headed back to our favorite resort (which isn't available), the CR Tower. I keep trying to wipe the memory out and insert a better one, but then I go and read threads and reviews that remind me about my bad feelings about it and I just can't book it.

I'm now considering a BC Deluxe room. What do you guys think? We stayed at the YC/Regatta Club in August and I bailed from there after only one night. There was nothing wrong with the YC, it just didn't feel "right" and I missed the CR's Tower view and room style and walking to the MK, so we switched to the Atrium Club. Which, BTW, is so far my least favorite club level.

If I do make a change, it would be the 8 nights WL/CL portion of our split-stay. We just stayed there in December, but DH was in Afghanistan and couldn't join us and he loves the WL, but we're not crazy about the smaller rooms and not being able to walk or monorail anywhere. The CR is our favorite, but it's not available at all and I'm trying to get a third use out of our AP's before they expire. It doesn't help that DH (the enabler) said he didn't care about using the AP's again and to just go whenever I think is best:headache:.

Now what should I do? Leave WL/CL as is? Go over to the darkside (BC/Deluxe room) or change our dates to when the CR Tower is available? I may have to go back to those old pro/con sheets of trips past:scratchin

Humm.... You have 4 months left, right?

So Option #1
Change your dates around to get CR

Option #2
Try to live with BC deluxe room - doesn't sound like the best of your options,

Or, Option #3, and since I don't know if you've tried them yet, go for GF RPC (:thumbsup2), BLT in a 1 or two bedroom (for the hot tub natch), or maybe BWI CL? Garden Suite there maybe? :teeth:

Did she see pics of it yet? Will she like the corridors that hang over the monorail? I will keep my fingers crossed for you. :)

I don't know if she has yet. I will find out either tonight or tomorrow. I think the corridors will be fine for her, but I could be wrong. I only suggested it for the convenience because we wouldn't have to use the buses unless we wanted to go to MGM and AK and it's the one I would choose, but if she does not want to stay there then I am perfectly fine with that. BWI looks like a lovely resort and I will be happy either way. I just wish these resorts weren't so expensive because it's making me feel super guilty even though she is offering. :sad1:

Now me, I love the Poly. :cloud9:

So for now I have 3 days RO at Asspo, and 3 nights RO at CBR. But would like to change the last three days to Poly.

But Poly is too much money without a discount.

So then I think about POP. But I'm already staying at a value this trip.

So then I think about POR. Smoking at the quiet pools. :thumbsup2 But I run the risk of getting stuck in a Mansions room since I'm solo. :headache:

But then I think I can stay at POFQ since it's smaller, and all the rooms are the same.

But I don't like the food court there, and I know if I stay there I'll end up spending all my time over at POR.

So then I start thinking about AKL. But I've already pulled the ol switcheroo on DS18 and booked AKL CL for his birthday this August.

Which brings me to BWI. :lovestruc But I would miss CL if I stayed there and CL at BWI costs more than the Poly.

Which brings me to the Poly. But Poly is too much money without a discount...

And that is how my days are going.... Pathetic.... :sad1:

BWI is lovely. :goodvibes I understand your guilt, but maybe on her side she's happy to pay so she can spend some time with you at a place that you love. :)

It's not pathetic! That is me now that my gramma told me I could pick any resort I wanted as long as it's basically, not a value or moderate. I would go with Swan or Dolphin, but no EMH and I can't use my PIN. It has been a hard decision because of the prices, but I'm going with either CR or BWI because they are close to the parks I want to go to the most.

She is definitely happy to do nice things for her grandchildren. I am so grateful for her and am very blessed to have a gramma who is willing to pay for expensive resorts. Other people are not as fortunate and it just makes me feel so guilty. I would be ok with staying at the crappiest resort just so I can spend time with my gramma.

Edit: Contemporary it is! Though when I tried booking with a discount that is offered on the Disney website, it said there were no rooms available. I am worried about that because that may mean I may not be able to switch from ASSports to Contemporary. I checked for BWI and there were rooms available so I'm hoping I can at least stay there. I wish I could call right now, but they are closed.

I'm switching to BWV real soon! :goodvibes I think an Epcot resort would be the best option due to the walk to Epcot and DHS since I'm going during the most crowded time and buses will be nuts! :scared1:
WDWKOOK, the CR looks great and the monorail is awesome but I stayed at a monorail resort last year...I'll try a different area this time! Oh geez it's so hard because the YC looks pleasant too!
DD said BW and I want to keep her going to WDW with me so I'll go with what she wants this time...even though I'm the one who convinced her to chose between YC/BC/BW.

Oh, *kaffinito* I'm soooo happy to hear I'm not alone in spending my days in a complete Disney crazed fog. Mom was joking with me that I'll be on the phone with Disney while I'm in labor. :rotfl:
