Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

Disneybride......what's this about Kidani?? Couldn't resist? You are a true Jamborino! . I listened today to hear if they were offering a double discount with the Disney Visa. Still thinking about Beach Club AND Contemporary. I won't give up.... this reminds me of the time that I was trying to book AKL and switch from WL....and called every day for months...(I ended up love WL ) so I will assume that if I can't switch from SSR I will love it as well.

I got lucky today when I called DVC, and my 2 nights opened up for Kidani....and AKV has been totally booked up.
so no more waitlisting or having to pay cash for a night...I even tried VWL to at least stay in the MK area...but thought abt the excitement of staying in Kidani after it only being open for 3 weeks!

SO no more chaning..I am done! I know, famous last words..but am done, feel confident with my final choice! lol
You will end up where you are suppose to end up stepdisney!! Just like you did at WL!

Well, I did add a day to the beginning of the trip, changed ADR's several times and am now leaving for my long desired trip to the POLY at 4 am on Thursday the 9th. That's NEXT THURSDAY!

Did you make any changes yet? Are you still at SSR?

Did anyone else make any changes? I know FD threw all of us into a tizzy last year.

Oh my Kaffinito. You must pack, unpack and pack again, changing suitcases to accommodate your vera bradley croc coordinates....(yes, I peeked in on that thread). I'm still at SSR but....I keep looking every day for perhaps a 40% that could entice me to change to BC or BCV......the wait is driving me crazy.

Okay...we started 5/3 to 5/8 at GF...switched to 3/10 to 3/14 VWL. Decided we might not spend a night at the beach on the way down, added a night at CBR. Yesterday, I spent an hour helping a couple decide between YC & BC, result....now we are 5/9 to 5/11 BCV & 5/11 to 5/13 VWL!

DH is gonna kill me Why can I help everyone else choose one resort but I can't? If we could moved SAB to Wilderness Lodge, my life would be soooo much easier!

I know what you mean. If I could move AKL's decor to POR, and then add POP's food court and a monorail to top it all off - I'd never switch!

We are now staying at ASMu I wanted to maybe try POR or CBR...but my kids insisted that if we were not going back to Pop (which they LOVE...then we have to stay at one of the All-Stars. They absolutley LOVE the icons and the colorfulness (if that's a word ) of the value resorts.

AsMu looks really nice too! And hey, if your kids want to save you some $$$ by staying value then good for them! Better than steak tastes on a peanut butter budget!

True....LOL!! My boys are great about that! My DD14 is not coming with us on this trip....she's the one who wants to "live" at the Poly!! Ever since we stayed there (about 7 years ago) ahe has said that when she grows up she's going to live there.... Wait till she realizes how much her "rent" will be!

I can relate to her though! I've wanted to stay there for 35 years, and now I finally get to. Wonder if it will "spoil" me for anywhere else! My boys are the same as your DD - they want to stay Deluxe now, forget the value stuff.

I have to admit, I am a resort changer too. I'm not sure what happned this trip, our last trips I never changed anything at all.

But let's see, 4/3 came out and we booked CSR King room, love the look of the renovated rooms. I was really excited about it....but then as I was researching I came upon the new BWI rooms . Then I started doubting my choice, what if we didn't get a renovated room, I really didn't like the old style at all, what if we hated it, and there were a few bad reviews out there (I know that can happen with any resort)...and there was availability to switch to BWI!

I really didn't know what to do, but I talked to DBF about it and he said we should change. Only now BWI wasn't available!

So I booked BC, I had heard on the boards that there was a sneaky trick you could do, book extra days and drop them off and still get the deal

But the CM's wouldn't let me . If we extended our trip by a day we could stay at WL the whole time, DBF said he'd rather do this, so I booked that. So now we have 3 Disney reservations!

Then the last night of the 4/3 deal I was able to get GF GV for Sun-Sun, and we would do CSR for the Sat before. Now we have 4 Disney Reservations!

Well now all I had to do was call Disney back and cancel the ones I didn't want. The CM seemed really confused, she was like, why didn't you just call to change them, but I really couldn't since I always seemed to find these deals after CRO was closed for the night and didn't want to miss out! I also only told her about 3 of the reservations the other one was booked with AAA so she didn't need to know about that
