Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

Alright....I haven't changed resorts again in the past week....but I changed my dates yesterday!:lmao: (I only moved it back by one day)

I haven't changed my ressy in sooo long, that today I felt the urge to change .
We are now at OKW 2 br. villa. I love the look of the resort! :thumbsup2

I'm not sure if I've mentioned it over here already.

But it looks like my resort changing problem is not cured.

Having decided Pop, then CSR, then POFQ and then deciding I was definitley happy with POFQ.

I have now upgraded to AKL.

I am finally super excited and not doubting my resort choice, so fingers crossed it wont change!!!

Torsie, Disney Bride '03 and kaffinito, love all of the pictures in your signatures!! :thumbsup2

We're at the Poly now! Loving it! :yay:

Lucky lucky you! Getting to take a solo trip would be just wonderful! I hope you have an awesome time, and it looks like you picked out some really great places to stay. :goodvibes

Wow I haven't peeked into this thread before, and should have. :)

I started out with 11 nights at the Poly, 9/21-10/2. Then I added a day right BEFORE that at WL so I can start at the Poly "fresh" and get a full day's worth on day one. THEN I switched to 6 nights Poly, 5 nights Boardwalk Villas 1 bedroom. As of yesterday I changed to 6 nights Beach Club Villas 1 bedroom, 5 nights Boardwalk Villas 1 bedroom. (oh, and I still have that one night before it all at WL booked.) I *think* I am done.

Thanks Kaffinito! I hope you are having a fantastic time! Watching Wishes on the beach at night ..... ahhhhhhh :cloud9: I could not BELIEVE how strong the Lapu Lapu was! :faint: :rotfl:

I too am a resort changer...

On an average trip I think I change my plans at least three times. My next trip is in August and I am currently booked at the Dolphin for 7 nights on the teacher discount. This will be a semi solo trip. I'm at the Dolphin by myself, but my parents will be at the YC for four nights, then move over to the Celebration Hotel for the remaining three. I have never stayed at the Dolphin before. I was excited about staying in the Epcot area for such a great rate, but its not Disney! So now the doubts are starting to creep in.

I could save some money if I switched to a moderate on an AP rate...
I might be able to get WL on an AP discount for a similar price to what I am paying now...
Or what about a split stay :scratchin?

I just know you guys will understand!

Hi fellow resort changer!

I, too, am a teacher and have considered Swan/Dolphin but couldn't get past the "no magical express" or "no dining plan" especially since we are traveling during free dining. With the AP discount or free dining, you could make up the difference in rate. I find that free food saves a great deal of money!! I would try WL with free dining. :thumbsup2

The key is NEVER say that your are "done." :goodvibes Choosing three resorts certainly is a way to overcome changeritis.....simply book ALL of them!! :thumbsup2

I thought of that, and the dining plan just won't work for me this time around. I have the Tables in Wonderland card and I'm going to use that for this trip. Plus, I'm by myself, so free dining would only save me $40/night. I am waiting to see what AP rates are so I can plot my next move...

DearDaisyinDurham, read your post about 2 nights @ Pop, then 2 @ CSR. I'll be looking to get your review, and honest opinions, especially how they rate compared to the Poly!!!

Hey Kaffinato, hope you enjoy the Poly as much as we did! Ahhh, wishes on the beach - I get goosebumps thinking about it!!!

Did you mention free food - I'm in!!! Actually, I'm giddy just writing this, but I talked my sister into meeting me over her birthday, and the labor day weekend, for free dinning!!!! I tried to get her to do the deluxe dinning by "selling" the eat around the world theme, but it didn't fly as she said she just lost 15 lbs (hey guess who found it)! Anyhow, I'm so excited. Of course, DH and my kids don't know. I'm going to position the weekend as a meet my Sis in Florida rather than a Disney trip:rotfl:. Ya think I'll be able to keep it to myself? :confused3 It's a budget trip and for "now" booked at Pop! :rolleyes1 Keep your fingers crossed that I can get cheap airfare!!!

I think I have split stay-itis. We're booked 6 nights at Boardwalk, but I want in the worst way to spend a couple of days at the Poly. I could probably add on one night, then we'd do 2 nights at Poly, 5 nights at the Boardwalk. Is this nuts???

If you dont mind changing, it could work! Actually, now that I think about it, it could be fun too!!!

I've always wanted to stay at the Poly. I don't think it's nuts at all!!!!

Oh another change!
I was checking the Airtran website when I noticed that they changed our flight to WDW, now we leave @ 8:15am instead of 7:15am
Not much of a change, but it is an hour less at Disney
So I put my thinking cap on :wizard: and called and added another day :cool1:
Airtran let me change to a Saturday departure for no charge :thumbsup2
Ooops, didn't tell hubby yet!?!?!?:rolleyes1

 a thread after my own heart!!!!!

It started with a SW air credit and AP's. Was supposed to be 4 nights at Pop....

Then the 4/3 deal came out...

So it was 7 nights at Pop....

Then we "needed" ;) to upgrade from DDP to DxDDP....

Then airfare was so cheap, so we added an extra day....

Then I started to worry about Pop's pool and we started thinking CBR...

Them I remembered that I don't like the moderates, no matter if there are pirate rooms pirate: :rotfl2:

So then we started thinking AKL...

And then the CR still had availability in the garden wings for the 4/3 deal at this late date, so the CR it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you drive by my house and pick me up too???? I am great on road trips and I wouldn't mind staying at the Poly if I have to :rolleyes1....:lmao:

Have a great trip ....the Poly is WONDERFUL!!!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Thank you for the well wishes - we did have a great time! :cloud9:

I never did get to try a Lapu Lapu - the bar kept running out of pineapples! We did enjoy watching Wishes from the beach and the EWP too! :goodvibes

Congrats! POP is a great place to go for FD! Enjoy your trip! :goodvibes

Yep - give up all hope - you belong here! :lmao:

Well, I have to pay my June package today, so I guess I'm sticking with ASMusic for that trip. My friend decided to meet us there any way and she's not a resort changer, so it cramped my style. :lmao:

Although, I had to change my other trip - kept the same resort (Beach Club), but had to move it from August to October. Boohoo. Husband decided that something very important was going on that week at work and he couldn't leave. Whatever. So now we'll have to take the kid out of school for vacation. But it's also going to be on my birthday! Yay!

Well.... it was going to be Pop with free dining, but then I realized I might be able to upgrade and stay AKL using DVC points after talking to Disneybride03 :lmao:. So, I get so excited about AKL - and started making plans, but Sis put a kaboosh on that, so its back to Pop. Well a girl can try right? :confused3 I just need the airfare to come down a bit, since this is supposed to be a budget, quickie trip :rotfl:!
