Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

My DD6 is ADD/no hyperactive but you wouldn't know it at home. Listening to you ladies, this sounds like the common demonator with their unwillingness to change resorts. And those public meltdowns, YIKES. Plus she had to get glasses this year, and in April she might have to start patching her eye for astigmatism (did I spell that right). So I kinda feed into her whims. She really is a strong girl, and a good girl when it comes down to it.

I hear you on the meltdowns!
This is why I love the DIS! Not only do you all share my obsession with the Mouse, but there's also others who can relate to other struggles in life. We need to be seen by the doctor and reevaluated again. I think DS needs to be put on medication because his temper and his anger are really spiraling out of control and I'm concerned for him. I can't imagine being so little and my brain making me feel that way. It must be torture for him. Unfortunately, they can't get me in until NOVEMBER 30TH!!! :scared1:

My DD was on a waiting list for an appt for 7 months (she was recently diagnosed) it's ridiculous! My DH was ADHD and he is dead set against meds. She goes for follow up August (right before our trip). The anger thing must be so hard, sometimes I try to get her to relax and she says "I want to but I can't help it" Poor babies...HUGS.

I take mine to a regular Psychiatrist. that way we get in faster, and the teachers etc participate in filling out forms etc. Usually takes a few weeks to get in for an evaluation that way.

Also, most school systems will give your child a free evaluation for "learning concerns".

I hear you on that one. The most important thing for your DS is a stable, loving family...and that doesn't need to include the "birth father". My DB is autistic and our "birth father" hasn't seen him in 30 years, trust me he is soooo much better off. Every time he got involved it would set my brother back emotionally. Sounds like your babies are well taken care of by their Mommy:thumbsup2

Oldest DS has never seen his bio dad. Good riddance to him too! So I can relate. :goodvibes

My hormones are out of control. I went from the girl that never sheds a tear to the blubbering idiot who will cry over anything! I will definitely keep you posted.....if she ever decides to come out lol

Hee hee hee - shouldn't tell you this but oldest DS was 3 weeks late! They had to induce... Hope she pops out soon!

Now back to our regularly scheduled resort changes.

And I do mean that!
Today I'm all set to book POP. How about you? :teeth:

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

Good luck with that one!

disneydreamin247Yeah momma good luck:lmao: I've been thinking of changing to RPC or a 1 bedroom suite at GF. Why can't I stop?!?!?! I guess I like to work overtime. And my oldest DS was also induced 2 weeks late, but my second was induced on the due date but my labor was only 4 hours!!!!

kaffinito

Our school has us take care of the initial eval, thank goodness for good insurance. I had the option of going to a psychiatrist, but I chose the neurodevelopmental eval only because of my family history of autism. Luckily in school her grades are terrific. Her teacher complains of her "defiance and stubborness". I'll admit she gets that from me

Okay. enablers, help me! Do I want to do a split stay at Poly/GF, or just the whole 9 nights GF? DS really wants to do Poly, but the CL reviews as of late haven't been stellar. I'm also not a huge fan of about 75% of the offerings. If I do a split stay, I'd have to only do DDP on the first part of the trip. Oh man, I'm just driving myself freakin insane.

Thanks  lol I'M DRIVING MYSELF INSANE! And it doesn't help that DS is off ALL week so I get no time to play the change game. He doesn't go to bed until the phone lines are closed. I tried calling while he was awake and that was NO help at all. Every single time I pick up the phone he has to be on his absolute worst behavior.

My gut says stick with the split stay. For DS, and your sanity:hug: Maybe just go with TPV and no CL on the Poly, and you can psych him up for GF CL. Esp if you are doing the Dining Plan you won't need CL for the Poly. UNLESS you can bribe DS for full vacation at the GF???? Does he need a new DS game :rotfl: BTW my MIL just got back and loved Poly CL.

Oh no!!! All kids when you get on the phone. At least that's what the CMs tell me. I try to call at naptime (DD 4 DD3 DS2), and last time they ALL got out of bed and started running in circles and yelling. And they didn't start until the CM picked up, so I manged to get through the automated system, and hold for a couple minutes:rotfl:They are nuts!!!!

:rotfl2: They know. They just always know. :scared1: I've been calling on my cell from the garage. ;)

You're not kidding:rotfl:
Now, if we could all just pick THE perfect vacation resort - and stick to it - and feel confident we made the right choice - and not question our decision on a daily basis...

Am I the only one who still looks up AllEars and Tripadvisor reviews for resorts I've already stayed at multiple times:sad2:

Oh, BTW - My Resort of the Day for today is the Poly. :lovestruc

Ummmmmmmmmmmm, no:rolleyes1What kills my family is the daily basis issue, and they have NO idea how much I obsess. If I'm going to have an obsession, Disney is not so bad, right?

That's makes sense! My district will do the initial eval, but if you need another full boat eval you have to pay oop here too.

I'd go for RPC if I were you. I loved RPC! :)

Do what I do - tell DS that the Poly was all booked up. ;)

BTW - WL CL has been "booked up" for the last 3 years now. DS18 must think it's the most popular resort. :lmao:

What about 3 days Poly and then 6 days GF? Only if the 6 days GF is CL. :)

I just switched to WL! :cool1: I may not tell DD17 and just surprise her! Now I have to change my ticker!

His birthday is Monday so I'm not poised well for bribes at the moment. :sad2:

We didn't even make it that far! As soon as I dialed and was trying to talk to the system he was TAP DANCING on my wooden floors in SNOW BOOT (can you imagine how loud that was?!) while throwing his hat around. Yes, my child was wearing pajamas, snow boots, and a fedora.

:rotfl2: They know. They just always know. :scared1: I've been calling on my cell from the garage. ;)

Nope! I do it too!!! And get insulted about bad reviews when it's a favorite resort.

Are we related? Are our kids step siblings? DS LOVES WL. I absolutely hate it. We had the worst experience there when we stayed there. Last time we went it was "all booked" and we had to stay at CBR. ;)

If we stay at GF it HAS to be CL, no questions about it! I really wish they'd release AP rates so I wouldn't need to worry about DDP and tickets. Simplify at least one aspect for me!!!

:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao: Too funny! And you have months to go yet. Better start a "change" list! :rotfl2:

:rotfl: OMG! That sounds just like DS10 - he used to come up with the most bizarre outfits! Now he just wears a bathrobe around the house. :rotfl2:

Seriously, they must either be related or it's an autism thing. DS18 really wants to stay at WL, but we're in Michigan so the theme just doesn't do it for me. So each August we have to have his birthday dinner at WCC, but I am not staying there or springing for CL there. For one thing I'm afraid of heights and those balconies up there give me the willies.

I love that you do the "all booked" thing too - just gotta love those gullible kids :goodvibes

I wonder how many other moms on here do the same thing? :rolleyes1

Oh - tonights Resort of the Day is AKL CL

Well, our WL experience went like this. Booked a Courtyard View bunk bed room. Checked in, go to our room. No bunk beds. They DOWNGRADED US! No notice, no refund, no nothing. :scared1: Now I have an overstimulated 5yr old with ADHD/ASD that I have to drag back down to the desk to sort this out....by myself. Yeah, that was fun! So they say to us well do you want to keep that room or move to another room? I said honestly I want to go back to Pop! This was just an immediate turn off for me, as I wasn't keen on the resort to begin with. They get us in at Pop, but I have to spend 2 nights at WL as Pop is booked for the next 2 nights. I figured we'd make the best of it. They give us a new key (for what reason I really have NO idea since we kept the same room) and we go back up. The new keys don't work. Awesome! I convince a mousekeeper to let me in the room and we take a rest. I called the "front desk" and ask to be transferred to the real front desk because my new key doesn't work in my door. They say they'll have someone bring it up right away. Right away turns into 2 hours so I head back down to pick up a new key before we get something to eat. They give me yet another key and w head to Roaring Forks. We go to pay and now our DDP credits aren't on our keys. :sad2: NEVER AGAIN!!! Then we had a broken tub, and the culmination of our trip was the morning we went back to Pop, we went down to get breakfast and bring it to our room. As I'm cutting up DS' food I notice our table is COVERED in little black bugs. :scared1: That was when I threw my fit, told DS to pack up, and got the heck out of there as fast as my stumpy legs would carry me. :rotfl:

As for my situation, I've come up with the perfect plan. I now have 2 packages booked, one at Poly, one at GF. They're both for the same dates, and then I can remove dates as I see fit to make my split work OR just cancel one and keep one. Since it's on my Disney Visa there's no interest. Yay! lol

I read all the way through this horror story about WL.... (feeling very sympathetic towards you through the whole thing BTW) ...

then I got to the bottom of the page and laughed so heard I woke up DS10. :rotfl2:

Two ressies?!?! That's brilliant! I think stepdisney has two going at the same time too! OMG - the disease is spreading  :rotfl2:

You are so a "resort changer" :rotfl:
