Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

I love it!

Even though the Resort Monorail won't be involved when we check-out of the Boardwalk Inn we won't have far when going to check-in at the Beach Club. Now the difference is we are going to Downtown Disney for a few hours until we check-in and to kill some time, because that's what we did last August during our Contemporary/Boardwalk Inn split stay.

And Happy Easter and Passover everyone! I decorated eggs with my mom and sister and they are so cute! I haven't done anything for Easter in nearly 10 years because my mom's family (the Christian side) live in St. Louis and everyone was getting too big for the Easter egg hunt. We also made Easter baskets! This year Passover is during Easter, but my dad says we can break the rules for today.

And one of the eggs I dyed is pink and I put a pig face on it because of my co-worker. Ever since her mom passed away 6 months ago, she has seen a pig every day because her mom loved pigs. She loved it when I posted it on facebook.

Why can't I get my mind set on a resort? I still need to call Disney and adjust my dates but I'm afraid I may switch to BLT.

Because there is no deciding once you have the disease!

I need to stop coming to this thread , it feeds my urge to change my resort again. Thing is now that I have all my ADRs booked I know changeing would be crazy since then there would be some ADRs I would need to change.
In a way I hope Disney does not offer a better discount than what I have currently or " the Urge" will come over me again.

You do NOT need to stop coming here. You need to hang around us more often and indulge in your switching desires.

Thanks. I miss her all the time but I know she isn't suffering anymore. DS says he sees her with her wings on all the time so we know she's at peace with the angels.

I'm glad people are excited for my TR! I'm a bit nervous since I've never done one before, but I think I will do just fine. And I will take tons of pics! I have a pretty bad memory so bringing the notebook will be super helpful because I don't want to forget anything.

One more week 'til my birthday and two more weeks 'til my trip!

I keep a notebook in my carryon for all my trips. If you were to read it you would find scribbled incomplete thoughts for about 3 days of every trip I go on because after that I forget to take notes. Also, when I travel alone I don't want people to think I'm some neurotic nutcase scribbling away in my notebook so I put it off until I'm in my room and then just never end up doing it.

Ok what should I do? Not that I will listen to y'all anyway but I want to know what y'all think. I need to adjust my dates from 22-29 Dec to 23-30 Dec. Should I switch to BLT when I call, or stay at BWV? Either way it's going to be a studio (I just want to check a Villa off my list). Don't forget, I'm going during the busiest time!
Will be going to Epcot 2 days, MK 2 days, DHS 1 day, AK 1 day. DtD on arrival day.
I'm gonna ask DD too, just to see if she cares.

I'd have to go with BLT. BWI just isn't my style and it isn't like you have mostly Epcot days planned. Just my 2 cents!

disneydreamin247: How are you feeling? I hope you've been feeling better since your last visit to the Dr. and I hope your little bundle of joy is still doing well, too.

Ehhh hanging in there. I've been feeling pretty down the last couple of days and yesterday and today my anxiety has been through the roof. I didn't even eat yesterday because I felt so sick from it. I took Lilyana back to her doctor today and she has to see a GI doctor for her reflux since her meds aren't working. Never a dull moment!

In all my multi-quote mania I forgot to mention a teeny-tiny resort change that may have occurred yesterday.

DH asked me about our ADRs and when I mentioned breakfast at Kona (he loves The Samoan) he said that he keeps picturing Capt. Cook's in his mind when he thinks about our vacation and that he couldn't picture the YC in his mind at all and he wondered why we weren't staying at the Poly

Now, we went down this road before and still ended up changing from BC to YC so that DH could stay at an Epcot resort (remember us jogging around Crescent Lake, pas130?) Well, DH just couldn't picture us there and he could picture us at the Poly and us jogging around the TTC parking lot LOL and him hiding out in the lounge, so yesterday I was able to switch to the Poly/CL using our 40% off military discount (Att. Mods, I mentioned a discount)

BTW, if you ever get "Percival" when calling "resort reservation changes", he is by far, the best WDTC CM I've had. He was so great that I not only did the phone survey, but I did the internet survey, too where I could mention him by name. Talking with him confirmed to me that this was a great change I was making.

Oh, I'm SO excited for you!!! I will once again confirm for you that you made a great decision in your switch to the Poly.

Yep over a week, and one of my coworkers decided I will run a 5K with him in September. Not sure how that happenedHe has a little avatar on facebook that says "From couch Potato to 5K" . I have a whole Biggest Loser series now so I do a little of everything. Only light hand weights though. I got on the scale and gained 4 poundsDH was like muscle weighs more than fat, still I've been working a lot, but now I exercise first thing in the morning, and I have so much more energy Did I mention I am glad youre at the Poly?

I saw this mini Cinderella Castle cake in the cake thread that would be perfect for the two of us! We would have it after our meal at the Cali Grill. She is basically paying for everything so I have to do something for her.

That's what I did too last trip. I like killing time at DTD when we switch over - that way I can get some shopping in, and we don't waste a potential park day. Maybe in August I'll plan a lunch at TRex when we switch - the kids have been bugging me to eat there.

And I'm glad everyone likes the cake idea. I'm going to call them right now so I can get it done with. I just haven't decided if I wanted to put, "Happy Mother's Day Gramma" or "Thank you Gramma". I'm leaning toward the latter.

@Kaffinito: I'm glad you like the people who work at your Target! On Saturday my manager came up to me and asked what I was doing for Easter. I thought it was so nice that he took the time out of his schedule to ask me. He is a really nice guy.

DO NOT SWITCH! GF is a very lovely - good smelling - resort. It just blows the other deluxe resorts out of the water. DO NOT SWITCH!

When I called the cake hotline about the cake, I forgot to tell them what kind of cake. I will call back tomorrow and see if I can find out. I just want a white cake with white buttercream filling. I would much rather have chocolate, but I rather play it safe for my gramma. lol

Thank you ALL for your kind words of encouragement about switching to the Poly. I've got to figure out which day to do the cabana, though I feel a bit silly renting a cabana for just three people, but I'm sure I'll get over that quickly after seeing all the hordes of people near the Volcano pool.

Cabana at the Poly sounds lovely, who cares if it's for 3-makes it all the more luxurious

I should mention that I was trying to squeeze in another trip for the holidays. A mini vaca to see the decorations.....but it can wait til 2012 I'm sure....

By the end of the day, I couldn't do it. This may be my only opportunity to afford a GF suite (after October we are 7-DS turns 3) And I have kept it a surprise this long......

bitohoney sjs314 kaffinito Your comments are EXACTLY why I couldn't switch, I have never been to GF. And I would totally start crying from the beauty of the lobby. BTW I cried when we got upgraded to the AKL suite last year. Yep coffee in hand, looking at the giraffes and zebras, crying. My kids asked DH why I was crying, and he said "Mommy is a Princess, and doesn't ever want to leave her castle" I think that's how I'm gonna feel at GF. And the kids really like the pictures, and keep asking when can we stay there......I am staying away from the phone.....Really I am
