Correct me if im wrong, but I'm not sure if POP to SRR is definite downgrade. I have only stayed at SSR once and at POP once.
Certainly, if you have 4 adults, 2 queens vs 1 queen and a sleeper sofa is downgrading. But for only 2 adults, or 2 adults and child (like us), having the sleeper sofa that you can put away during the day is very convenient. It gives you a lot of extra "walking around" space. Also,, isn't POP rooms sft about 250 or 260 sf? And I think SSR studios are 350 or 360sf? That's a definite upgrade. Also, the kitchenette is a convenience. Having a mini fridge, sink, toaster, microwave, etc is helpful. The villas also have free laundry facilites (for those so inclined lol).
I know the pool at POP is nice, but the ones at SSR are as well, with water slides. Maybe the food court is better at POP? It is bigger.
I know OKW studio is 390sft
Maybe I'm wrong, but SSR as an option instead of a value resort is not that bad IMHO. Unless of course, as a PP said, you have 4 adults. In that case you would need that extra bed and not a sleeper.
I totally agree! I have stayed at both... and I would literally be grateful for ANYTHING that got me out of a value resort. At least you have a kitchenette and can walk to Disney Springs.
