Resort Change by Disney

What did they end up giving you?

Oh nothing yet. I have been on hold several times: 1st- 2 hours, disconnected, 2nd- 1 hour, hung up, 3rd- 1 hour, hung up, 4th- 45 minutes, disconnected... At this time anytime they put me through it says over 90 minute wait. I am halfway curious what would happen if I just showed up on June 23 at this point

I think eventually they are supposed to call us...

So it looks like most people on this board are being moved to some nice Saratoga rooms for those pre park opening dates.
Yeah it looks like that's the case for Pop century and all stars etc. I still haven't heard back from my TA not even a reply.

Your TA is likely going to be sitting on hold just as long as everyone else. I spent 10 1/2 hrs the day after they announced they were closing and never did get through. Multiple hours at a time to get disconnected by a cast member when they tried to transfer me to the air department.

Did anyone not receive the email. I had a reservation 6/24-7/8 and 7/4-7/18. I didn't not receive the email. I called this morning and was able to move the 6/24 reservation to November (we are going for the W&D run)
The CM told me the only two options I had for the 7/4 reservation was to either cancel or move to a date from 7/11-12/31. He said I couldn't confirm since I my resort (ASSp) won't be open. Thinking maybe I should call and talk to another CM. Not sure if they're not moving it since it extends into park opening?
How confusing! Both of your reservations fall into the dates where you should have been able to ‘confirm‘ if you chose to. The email that went out didn’t say you had to be ending your stay by July 4. I’d call back.
I called back. The new CM was super nice and put me through to the "special team" I'm on hold now. Wait time says "over 60 minutes"

That's what happened to me last night. I was super excited when the CM picked up very quickly, but the after I was transferred to the special team line it said wait time would be over 90 minutes. I waited about 2 hours 15 before they picked up - hopefully it will be less for you!

If you don't modify or confirm your current reservation (and have them move you to an open resort), they will auto-cancel your reservation.

I have to disagree, I’m on about 6 Disney Facebook pages, and every day TONS of people say they pulled the trigger and cancelled

This. My wife doesn't follow these message boards, but does belong to several Disney Facebook groups. She told me yesterday we should just cancel our trip because everyone on her Facebook groups was doing it and that the trip was going to be awful because nothing is going to be open. I was able to talk her down by reminding her that our trip isn't until the end of September, the parks will be way less crowded and at this point we really don't know all that will be open.

So yes, the tone on the Facebook groups is completely different and I think that probably better reflects the overall WDW audience than message boards like this one.

July 9-14 All Star Movies. Military room deluxe dining. He also made a comment about me being military and that guest services are adjusting rooms one by one. He didn’t sound too hopeful and reiterated that I should not make a payment.

glad I changed my 7/22-7/26 movies stay to a dvc rental.

This. The tone on the super fan/experienced visitor sites like here, TP, WDWMagic is completely different than the Facebook groups which are more geared towards first time/once in a lifetime guests.

So if I confirmed my dates through the email, it seems like Disney will contact me. Do I still need to call?

Curious how they handle resorts after opening how many weeks out do they go for confirmations.

Do guest have to request a move or risk canceling

How long will the selling freeze be

Yeah I do not know either...It says they will "contact me shortly" but its been 2 days since I confirmed through the email and no call....So I really don't know anymore

I wonder what it will be like for stays the first week parks are open. Will they open more resorts?

I was just thinking the same thing

That’s the million dollar? I would expect at least the resort side of deluxe to open and it wouldn’t surprise me If the announced opening days for the resorts before the end of this week

3 bdr grand villa SS

Oh my. For the price of a Pop room. That's the best upgrade I think I have seen. I am just following along to see if there's any chatter about upgrades to December trips. Booked in an all star sports over Christmas.
Not yet. I don't think anyone beyond July has been moved aside from CL rooms being downgraded from CL to standards.
