I read on another site, under tips that it was quicker to ride a bus from your resort to the contemporary get off and then walk to the Magic Kingdom, would this be faster than taking the MK bus from our resort? Just looking for the fastest route to MK from our resort, Pop. I want to get there in time for rope drop. Thanks:hippie::cool1:

That didn't make sense to me so I wanted to double check.:hippie:

I think you just had it reversed. It is easier to get to the Contemporary from a resort by going to MK and walking. :thumbsup2

Have a great trip! POP is awesome. :goodvibes

Maybe what you were reading was discussing taking a taxi? Those who are considering taking a taxi to MK (maybe for a pre-RD ADR where they don't want to be out of their resort a full hour before the ADR) can take a taxi to CR and walk to MK much faster than taking the bus or even driving to TTC and hopping either the monorail or ferry.

Or even possibly from another park to MK? If that is the case, then yep, it's going to be faster to go to the CR and then walk. Say you're coming from AK or DHS....bus to TTC, ferry or monorail over to MK. In that case, probably quicker to take the CR bus and then walk over.

Do each of the resorts have their "own" set of buses that takes you directly to the parks? Or do the buses have routes which they pick up/drop off from multiple resorts on a single trip?

Some resorts have their own bus and some share buses.

Some resorts are grouped, i.e sharing buses to the parks, most resorts have their own buses at least during peak hours.

Thanks msjprincess and seashoreCM. Maybe then I should provide a bit more detail. Does AKL have its own set of buses or are those bus routes shared with other resorts?

TIA.

AKL does not share a bus with any other resort. There are two stops at AKL, first Kidani Village and then Jambo House, except DTD which is the reverse.

Thanks for the info. This helps plan things out better, especially around ADR times.
