I have read on these boards about how some people reserve the pool chairs. Does that mean that they reserve the "good" pool chairs, say, closest to the pool or with an umbrella and there are still other "no-so-good" chairs available? Or, are the majority of pool chairs reserved and if you don't get up early you aren't getting a chair anywhere?

I probably will be at the Goofy pool most of the time so I am most interested in that. Thanks!:D

we have not had this problem on any of our 4 cruises...
u CAN NOT RESERVE A CHAIR..... if u r not there using Said chair leaving your stuff on it is not right and some one like me will come along if we need a chair and carefully move stuff ..............

i think it works out better if u go to pool use pool and chair , leave when done ... and repeat as often as nes........

some crew members r also watching for this as well ................

Thanks for your input Peter and I tend to agree with you about the "saving" issue. However, the general impression I get from these boards, in the past, is that the chairs are saved. Has this been changed recently and the CMs are taking more action?

it's funny...when we were on the wonder i didn't get near the pool...any of them, even once during the cruise...neither did my kids or my husband....i was too busy doing other things....
i'm not even sure which pool is which as i was almost never on deck 9 except for the sail away party (in nassau ) and to go to the 24 hour coffee/water/ice bar....

I didn't notice on our last trip as we didn't spend much time near the pool, but in the past there have been signs on the chairs and a note in the Navigator. If I wanted a chair, I would bring a Nav. with me and move stuff if someone had left it unattended for a long period. If they had the nerve to say something to me, I would point out the note in the Nav. But this usually isn't a problem for us, as the adult pool isn't usually that crowded. The only time we had a "saving issue" was once in the Walt Disney Theater. Hubby arrived at one end of a row at the same time as a woman arrived at the other. As he sat down, she started yelling something about how she was saving the whole row, but he just ignored her.

If I get to the pool and all the chairs have towels on them (apparently the "saving" mechanism"), I find a chair and watch for say, 15 - 20 minutes to see which ones are not being used. Then, I take them. I would not move personal items - books, shoes, etc. To me, those indicate that person is in immediate area. If anyone had the nerve to say anything to me, I'd let them know nicely but firmly that they were off base.
