Has anyone booked their reservations using the disney web site? I was wondering if anyone has done this and has encounter any problems with it (I have heard of problems with Expedia).

I keep going to the web site just to see rates for differant resorts for June but I cant find anything past Jan04. They say you can book up to a year in advance, but I dont know how?

We have used the Disney site to book online in the past and have never had any problems!

How soon do you find out if you GOT a reservation if you use the Disney site? Is it an immediate thing or does it take a day or three?

1.) The resort rates for 2004 have been released, so you can go ahead and book I believe through January of 2005 as long as your stay starts in December of 2004.

2.) I haven't tried to book a package, but in trying to book room only, it works the same as CRO, except that I think you have to put down 1 night's deposit immediately. Either way, the reservation is immediate.

Can I ask how you use your "codes" or discounts thru the Disney site? I only seem to see rack rates. Do you book the reservation and then call back when the codes come out? Thanks

I used the online site to book a very last minute trip that I knew would be rack one time. It worked out fine. I even called them later to change the ressie a bit, and that was no problem either. I wish it was possible to use the site to use codes or AP or DC rates though, that would be convenient. I also check there for availability a lot, and hated that the site wouldn't let you check 2004 rates/availability at all until just a couple of days ago. That was weird. I think it was related to the *computer problems* that kept them from offering the AP rates until recently. Funny, the AP rates appeared the day after the 2004 rack rates appeared online.
Oh, and it is immediate. If there is no available room, it won't let you book it at all.

I used their online site to book the FT package and had no problems. I did it online after calling twice and both times getting agents that were ..... not the most swift and intelligent folks. I was on hold so long the second time I gave up. You'll get an email confirmation from the online booking that has all the details and you can actually go online with your ressie number and pull up the reservation.

Thanks for info. I now feel better about booking on-line. I book the flights on-line so I don't know why I was worried about this. I think I will go ahead and book on-line.
