Reservations at the beach club

A question for all you DISer and DVCers!! I am looking for a small point contract for the BCV. I am trying to be patient but my nerves are going nuts waiting for the right contract to come along. However, my reason for wanting the BCV is because I will most likely want to visit in the summer, around the end of may or beginning of June, or at the second week of August and I want to have access to the great SAB. Other than these summer weeks, I wouldn't mind staying at any other resort. Am I right to wait for BCV points or will I do alright with another home resort, such as OKW, at the 7 month window? Any advice will be appreciated!!

I can tell you that we are BWV owners and we were able to transfer our reservations for 2 separate rooms over to the BCV at the 7 month window earlier this year -- for 6 nights in the first week of June. When I made the switch, member services told me that there was still plenty of availability at the Beach Club for my desired dates. I was even able to secure one of the prized "dedicated" 2 bedroom units.

If you would be "satisfied" with staying at the Boardwalk, you should consider broadening your resale search to that property as well. There are many more BWV resales as it is much bigger than BCV. With BWV points, you can book your stay at your home resort at 11 months (ensuring you have confirmed lodging), and then attempt your transfer over to BCV at the 7-month window. If the availability isn't there (and the waitlist doesn't come through), you're merely across the lake in another beautiful resort.

An added benefit to BWV ownership is the discounted point charts for standard rooms.

We were able to switch from a BWV BV studio to BCV studio for weekday nights during the last week in May (before Memorial weekend). We did this at the 7 month mark all at once. I didn't do it day by day because I didn't want to move.

It has no points until 2006 but I better get it while I can get one. I guess after this closes, I can get on the famous waitlist for add-ons at the beach club through Disney. I was too late for a 50 point with 100 points available, I called as soon as I saw it, but I was 5th on the list.

A question...I am on the wait list for the BC for an add-on. How do they decide what goes into the add on pot vs. goes to re-sale??
I know someone out there know this answer???????
