We are going to WDW in December and just found out that another family will be going with us. I already had one room reserved at Pop Century, so I called to add a second room to my reservation. Well, the CM told me that I could not add a second room, but that I could do a second reservation and have it linked to mine. I asked her if I get a PIN or if Disney Visa offers the free dining again this year, could I have it applied to both reservations. The other family does not have the Disney VISA. She said yes, that since the second reservation is linked to mine, that the discount could be applied to both rooms. Does anyone know for sure if this is correct?? I did not know that you could not add a second room to your reservation if there were going to be more than 2 adults...is this something new??? :confused3

What I have read here in the past, what you are told about the two res' is correct.
And you do have two adults under your res. However to have two rooms, one room would be in your name. The other room in your DH's.
I think it would just cause confusion and maybe issues between cards and such. Basically both res' would belong to you and your DH.
What you needed is what you have: a res for you and a res for them.
The second part I do not know about them getting your rate with linked res'. Although I have no personal experience in a situation like this.

In 07 I booked a room for my DH, DD10, and myself.

I also called and booked a room for DD22 and her DH. I paid for both w/ my visa and got same rate for both.

I guess as long as you're willing to pay w/ your vis nd have them reimburse you, there shouldn't be a problem.

Or, have them get their own Visa to book the trip if they can get one.

Hope this helps a little.

We booked 2 rooms for this December with the 40% pin. We were allowed to have one room with our names and the other room with our friends name. Both rooms got the discount. They are linked under a magical gathering number under my name.

I booked two rooms for my trip last fall using a 40% PIN, one for me and one for a friend. His room had to be booked under his name, but the two reservations were linked. He was able to pay separately with his own cc so I didn't have to pay and have him reimburse me. It was really easy.

Great! It sounds like I will be okay if a discount comes out that I can use.

Thanks to everyone for the responses!!:yay:
