Reservation problem

I am so confused at this point I don't know what to do. We planned to go to MNSSHP on Oct. 20th and made reservations for one night (two rooms) at WL. Somehow when the reservations were made it was screwed up to be on the 19th. I don't know if it was my fault or the CM's fault. I could hardly understand him but I thought I gave the right dates. Anyway, they wouldn't do anything for me because they said the tickets are not exchangeable and I'm stuck with that date.

Talked it over with the family and they were fine with it. It will mean an extra day off work and school but we'll manage. However, it doesn't make sense to leave and come home on a Friday morning. I just called to add a day to our reservation. The CM says the only way it can be done is to cancel my reservation and do a whole new one and no AAA rate since there is no rate available for the Friday night. Or she can just add the new day. She adds the new day and tells me that now I have to pay a deposit for the new day. Which means paying the whole thing, two rooms, two nights. I don't think I should have to do that. I've already paid in full for two rooms for one night.

I don't know what to do. At this point we're tossing around just keeping one night and staying off property the second night. If an AP rate comes out I'll just cancel the whole thing and start from scratch. Maybe I should just wait for that.

Can you stay at another resort and change your first one night res to a two night at a different resort? (If a AAA rate is available at another resort.)

You can actually exchange the tickets. There is a number to call, CRO can give it to you.

I had to exchange tickets before, not because of an error but because the dates of our vacation changed. I had to send back the old ones and they would re-issue me new ones.

I would do this promptly though if this is the route you chose to go. I sent the tickets overnight signature so I knew they got there and it took about 2 weeks to get the new ones.

I could stay at another resort but it would be a mod and since we're going to MNSSHP we wanted to be in MK area. We'll talk it over again and see. My parents are out of town at a wedding and since my mother is going with us we want to get her opinion too. I could pay the whole thing in advance but I'd rather have spread the cost out over a couple of months.
