Reservation Confirmation

Hi I booked an August week using Developer Points. I was asked how I wanted the confirmation sent. E-mail or US mail. Of Course I chose e-mail. I was advised that I could not be given a confirmation number over the phone, and the CM explained how the booking of Developer points works. CM told me I would have a confirmation of the reservation in about 2 weeks. It has now been almost a month and I have not received anything yet. I went to call MS today since I was home from work, but missed by a few minutes. I sent an email to DVC and of course it said I would have a response in about 3 business days!

Anyone here a similiar experience with booking Developer Points. Does it ususally take this long to get a confirmation?
 
Maureen, we also booked an August stay with developer points-this was on January 14 and we still haven't received anything via e-mail-she assured me our days were booked (we only added on two days at SSR after our week at AKV) but I'd like to have something in writing-if I don't see an e-mail by Monday I will call.

Ok-at least we are in the same boat:) I prefer to have in in wriring also. I booked a day after you on the 1/15. I have the paperwork from the December trip I booked the same day for AKV. But that was with our 08 UY points. Hopefully I will get a response to my e-mail. Its hard for me to call MS during the week, and I just never remember on the weekends.

I think the email confirmations is yet another glitch in the software. I have been waiting since september of 2008 for a email confirmation for a June trip and have yet to recieve it, I have a snail mail copy but I don't think many people actually get the email confirmation.
 

Wouldn't it be nice if the service after the sale was the same as the service before the sale?

I wish that Disney would treat their DVC Members better.
 
I was told just the other day that the confirmations comes from a different dept when using developer pts. My CM told me I would receive my confirmation in about 7-10 days, than she told me that they are very behind and trying to catch up and it would probably take several weeks before I receive my confirmation. She informed me that my reservation is booked and not to worry.
 
I usually emailed them with my reservation # and have them reply back to me with full detail reservation. They kindly reply with all the info.

They said they're very backed up. I am a little annoyed as I'm leaving well... see sig.

Frankly the service I have received before and after has been superb. We are calling at peak times and I expect some delay. I spend quite a bit with AT&T and time warner every month and I'm not treated half as well.

The DP reservations don't show up on the website.
I made my reservation on Jan 20th and I am still waiting...
I don't even have a reservation number on file yet.
I called yesterday...:confused3 Nothing yet...
I want to try to switch it to a THV on the 22nd so I was hoping
it would be all set by then...
But MS and my Guide said I could switch it to THV if one was available...:thumbsup2
 
also booked using DP's mid January and have not gotten confirmation yet. Interesting that it would take so long to get these bookings reviewed and an email sent out.:confused3
 
I called the other day (the day before the big BLT/THV day to call) just to make sure as a new member that everything was ok and ready for me to make a BLT reservation.

I also asked to see if I had a confirmation # yet for our DP reservation. She stated that the department/company that handles these has been WAY behind because of how many new members are purchasing DVC right now and booking using DPs. They are now advising that it will take at least a month to get a confirmation #.

We booked on 1/22 and am still waiting...maybe by next week we'll get it???
 
I spoke with member services this week since it's been almost four weeks since I made my reservation with our DP, I was told at that time they were very behind and only up to January 9th for getting confirmations out (this was the 11th when I called).
 
I have never gotten a confirmation email. They have the right address, I get the "advertising" But somehow the "crack IT shop" at Disney can't send me the basic confirmation emails. (And I think it's crack they are smoking there LOL!)

So I bet your first notice is via snail mail!
 
Made a DP reservation on 1/31 for 2/14-16 at the Grand Californian. Received my e-mail confirmation yesterday. Works for me!

lucky you!!!! but might be cause your reservation is for right away. I was booking at the 7 month mark so not going til august, thus don't really need it, but like the peace of mind.
 
I got my email response from MS. My reservation was just booked on 2/7. (more than 3 weeks from the day I actually requested the reservation) It stated that they are very behind on the developer bookings, and I should have my confirmation within 2 weeks.
 
Called MS today to inquire about DP Reservation.
They said they have processed Reservations made through January 17th as of today...
He said they probably do about two days worth a day depending on how many they have.
