Resale.... which month should we buy into?

I need some advice.... we intend to buy a resale contract in the future but since we usually go for my disabled dd's birthday in November.... what month is our best bet to buy for the 11th month window for our choice of accomodations?

Use year has nothing to do with the 11 month window. It has more to do with banking and cancellation deadlines. You can always make reservations at the 11 month mark based on points available on your date of stay. If you will usually go in November - Aug, Sept or Oct would be best, that way if you cancel you would have maximum time to reuse the points.

Heya Tigger2ON! I recommend you and Ryleigh (yeah and the rest fo the family) go with September or October given your vacation habits. That would give you most of the long Canadian winter within your peak banking period, in case you should ever need to cancel.

Now for resorts, I suspect you have a preference there already. Keep in mind that for 11 month ressies, you might want to go for one of the smaller resorts, since you will likely have availability at 7 months at the really big resorts like SSR and OKW. Of course from a wheelchair friendliness perspective (as you know, we have a 7 yr old redheaded DS who is wheelchair-bound) we like resorts with zero-depth entry pools; of course, we own and stay generally at BWV which does not have one; go figure. Then again, our beloved moderator on the DISabilities board (SueMinMN) can give you plenty of advice here too, as she is also a DVC owner.
