Just want to make sure I understand it right. Thanks to all who posted to me below. I always thought there was a 150 point minimum no matter where you purchased it. So, you can become a member with smaller points if you buy through the resale market? Does ROFR get harder to pass if you buy in smaller amounts? Thanks again for all your help :earsgirl:

You are correct - there is no minimum size requirement for a resale purchase. Practically speaking, you'll need to buy at least a 25 point contract because that is the smallest contract Disney has sold. Disney may or may not choose to exercise ROFR on any contract offered for sale. IIRC, Disney did buy back most (if not all) of the smaller contracts (<150 points) at one time, but that has not been the case for quite some time.

I don't believe the size of the contract has much bearing on getting by ROFR right now, but no one really has any facts and data on that issue.

Best wishes -

Smaller contracts tend to sell for more PP and DVD tends to buy them back at a slightly higher price. But no harm in trying if you get a deal and want to see what happens other than you might lose the contract in question. There are ways to resubmit an offer but it's not practical in most cases.

We are owners of a 30 point SSR contract.... that's it.

We bought resale, and got it for $87.50 INCLUDING closing costs.

we are thinking of adding on....... especially with this new deal.....
