Requesting in room Microwave ???

I prefer to get a studio villa - and one of the many reasons is because of the microwave. Now I find out that my first choice, and my second choice, and even my third choice resort for a studio is all sold out. I currently have a reservation for Coronado Springs, but I was hoping for BWV or BCV for that studio room.

Is it possible to request a microwave for my room? Has anyone ever done this before? I was thinking of staying at Coronado Springs, or maybe a standard room at The Yacht Club, providing I can get a discount there.

I don't think you can request a microwave for your room as they have them in all the food courts. It may also be considered a fire or safety hazard. Someone else will chime in with more info.

I've recently looked in to requesting microwaves for our rooms at both the Wilderness Lodge and Beach Club. Both let you request a microwave for your room and will provide them if they are available. I have no idea how many microwaves each resort has, and they will not guarantee that you will be able to get a microwave--so you really can't plan on having one for sure. I just looked at the Coronado Springs thread (sorry, I don't know how to link) and it looks like you can request a microwave there as well--they just won't guarantee it.

As far as I know, all resorts let you use the microwave in the food court--so even if you can't get one in your room you would have access to one--it just isn't necessarily convenient.
