While I was sleeping this morning, my TA was busy getting my Disney Visa discount!
3/9-3/14 CSR
3 adults, 1 teen
MYW with dining plus park hopper
originally $3028.02
with discount $2695.79 (and now I have water parks and more)
savings $323.23

Not too bad!!!

We had Jan 23-29 ASMu Suite for 6 with dining and park hopper and insurance $3599

Changed to 2 connecting rooms at ASMo for 6 w/dining park hopper and water
with insurance $3176

difference $423

We will probably need to get a fridge so that will be $60
I guess we could just go to the gift shop whenever we need milk and probably get by with no fridge. We could get about 30 milks for the price of a fridge.

Old Price -
01/21/08 - 01/28/08 2 adults & 2 children age 4
7 nights/6 days MYW + dining with park hoppers and insurance (at ASMovies Preferred room) = $2579.20

New Price -
01/21/08 - 01/28/08 2 adults and 2 children age 4
7 nights/6 days MYW + dining with park hoppers and water parks and insurance (at ASMovies Preferred room) = $2284.62

Savings: $294.58 :cool1:

FYI---If you called this morning and were told it was sold out, try calling again. My friend is going 1st week of FEB, staying at ASMovies. Her hubby called this morning to apply the code and was told it was sold out. She tried this afternoon and she got the discount. :confused3 It's always worth a 2nd call...you can't lose anything.

We are at POFQ March 10-16 (me and my 3 kids who will be 10, 8 and 5) and had the dining plan and 7 day hoppers. We went from 2924 to 2564 for a savings of 360! My parents are travelling with us and their ressie went from 2318 to 2054 for a savings of 264!

So happy!

Allyson

Before discount 4 adults,+12yo, 9 yo, 6 yo ASM 5 nights 5day park hopper $2807

same people, POP 6 nights 6 day hoppers plus water parks and more $2477

Savings of $333 for one more night, one more day and water parks and more add on. I'm happy!:cool1:

The CM I spoke to was unable to apply a discount to our existing reservation because no rooms are available at POFQ at the promotional rate, but If we switch to POR or CBR we could get it (we'd rather not switch) It would be a savings of 332 or so. I don't understand why they can't apply it to an exisiting reservation but the guy I talked to was adamant that he couldn't do it.

I'll try calling tomorrow and seeing if someone else give me a different answer.

Before the code:

2 adults
1 12-year old
5 nights at Wilderness Lodge, checking in Feb. 1
DDP
7 days tix w/ park hoppers
standard view
$2682.38

Now:
2 adults
1 12-year old
5 nights at Wilderness Lodge, checking in Feb. 1
DDP
7 days tix w/ park hoppers + water fun free upgrade
Woods view
$2482.38

A savings of just over $200, a better view and free upgraded tix! The best part is, I could tease my husband, and tell him that if he had only been checking my emails and these boards, he would have been aware of the deal, and could have called earlier than when I did. By the time I got the email and called, the standard views were all sold out. I let him know that if he had called earlier, we may have saved even more. (The view isn't that big of a deal to us!)

BC standard view from 1/109-1/7/08
5 day PHPlus tickets
Deluxe dinning plan
Regular price 5949.97
DV Code 5191.35

Saving of 758.62

Not bad!!!:woohoo:

My original package was a pretty good one, $1136 for me, DD13, and DD9 at the CBR for 4 nights with 5 day ph and water park tickets. I just couldn't add in the dining (Sports Travel package) :sad2:

So I booked the package with the Visa Code and now have $1872.45 with Deluxe Dining. It's saving about $150 over what I had budgeted (2 TS and 1 CS per day) Even if we only break even, the convenience of having everything paid for up front is worth it to me.

Thanks DisBoards!!!

I just saved $500 on my vacation and $230 on my parents!

I'm loving my Disney Visa and this board right now!

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Whoo hoo! Just booked 8 nights, 9 days, at Pop, 2 adults with basic dining (and free ticket add ons): 1704! Savings of $325!

Just to clarify, are people getting discounts beyond the designated price of a ticket upgrade? I see a lot of savings totals that seem greater than they should be, but I'm not clear on whether people are basing their savings on a package with a base ticket versus the same package with the ticket upgrade or whether other changes are being made to the ressies at the same time.

Here's our info:

Feb. 7 - 12, 2008
2 Adults, 2 children, 1 infant
Poly Garden View
5 days park hopper
basic dining plan
Original price:$3140
Price with visa code: $3028

So we saved $112 off the AAA rate.

The code gives a room discount, plus free park hopper and waterparks tix uprgrade.

In my case it appears there is about a 15% discount on the room in addition to the free ticket upgrades. We're staying in a value resort during a busy time (President's Day weekend) so I'm not sure if the discount would be slightly higher at a more expensive resort or on a different weekend.

That is great news! Thank you for the reply!

In order to rebook with the code, there has to be availability at the resort. If you let go of your current reservation, it is HIGHLY likely that someone else would book it before the cm helping you would be able to rebook yours.

Call back. I had the same thing happen to me, (I am staying at POR). I was told there was no availibility, but called back only an hour later and was able to book. Lots of people cancel or upgrade when they get the disocunt code. Also, people playing around online can tie up rooms . . .

I called back this afternoon and got the same spiel. I called MIL and let her know, she said that if we wanted to change it was up to me, but I told her no way, because POFQ is so important to them that I'm not making the call on changing resorts. If they want to change then I'll do it but only if they do. If we weren't traveling with them I'd change to something different and it would be no big deal.

What I'm really afraid of is because we're booking 2 different reservations is not getting both switched in time and winding up at 2 different resorts. It might be less stressful to just stay with what we have and suck up the money, since it's already been earmarked.
