Report your Disney Visa FREE Ticket Upgrade Pkgs Here!

I did not book yet...but, I did receive a quote. We are a Grand Gather of 4 families of friends (17 people total)....so, I have to check with everyone before we make any changes....but, here was my quote:

2 Adults and 1 Child (Age 8)
Arrive 2/1/08 and depart 2/9/08
8 Nights at Pop Century
7 Day Base Tickets (w/free hopper, waterpark, and more upgrade)
No Dining and No Insurance

Total === $1282.96

I am currently booked at AAA room-only reservation and we were planning on purchasing base tickets from Undercover Tourist. This package would cost us about $70 more.....so, we are debating whether we think we will use the upgrades.

Jan. 27-Feb. 1
2 Adults
1 Child
1 Infant

Preferred room at AS Music w/ dining

$1532.03 plus the park hoppers and water parks

It was too cold for water parks when we were there last Jan.

We went the same time last year, and it was free PH, free water parks and more, and about a 15 percent room discount. Is anyone finding this to be true this year?

Yes...it's about the same as last year. I backed out the numbers and came up with around $69 per night before tax for the room during Value Season which is close to 15% (about 15.8%).

So...the discount is not as good as AAA (which is 20% during Value Season for Value Resorts), but you do get the ticket upgrades and the other stuff associated with the package.

I have a room only reservation for president's week because we already have tickets...I would change to this new code for Disney Visa holders and get a one day ticket if I thought there was a discount on the room portion of the reservation...does anybody know if the room is discounted at all? Thanks for any info!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:confused3

Also...when I called this morning....the only Value resorts available for this package were Pop Century standard room and All Star Movies (preferred room) for our dates of 2/1/08 to 2/9/08.

We are currently booked at All Star Sports...but, would maybe change to another All Star if more availability were to somehow open up.

When I called CRO, I just said I wanted to book the Disney Visa package. I didn't even have to give the code. I DID have to book using my Disney Visa, though.

Had to switch from the Poly to the GF as Poly was not available for our time frame (1/10/2008-1/15/2008).

We originally had gv Polynesian MYW (park hoppers) with dining - $3911.77

switched to gv GF MYW (park hoppers and water park package) with dining - $3711.88. We saved $200 and got the water package and a resort upgrade!

We went the same time last year, and it was free PH, free water parks and more, and about a 15 percent room discount. Is anyone finding this to be true this year?

Yes, the room discount is around 15%, which for us, going the last week of Feb, is better than the AAA discount, which is only 10% during peak season. Plus we save the $48 we would have had to spend to join AAA, so it's a better deal for us.

We saved $540 over full price for our week (6 nights) at PO-FQ. The ticket difference was $320ish so the room discount was about $35 a night and the room without discount is about $150 so close to 20%.

Yippeee! Yvonne

I was told this goes through sometime in March (can't remember exact dates - sorry). I didn't get an e-mail from VISA. I saw it on the main page of the Disboards w/ a link to the codes (up in the breaking news section).

I just got off the phone with CRO.

2/2/08-2/9/08
Wilderness Lodge - booked woods view - upgraded to courtyard view
2 adults, 2 children (1 under 3)
5 day MYW (had PH, free WP option upgrade)
DDP

Original price - $3366.42
Discounted price with CY upgrade - $3128.16
Total savings - $238.26

Not bad!!!

My email came today and only give Jan and Feb dates. It also says it is for Value resorts, but I see some of you have been able to get Poly or GF. Is is common that you are able to get Deluxe even if it says Value? We are a family of 5 and unless stay in family suites, value won't work.

Just booked . . .

Had: POR 3 adults, 2 children MYW + dining + hoppers, 4 nights = $2778.18

Now: SAME + water parks and more = $2426.09

Savings = $352.09 + now have water parks!

We applied the code to our existing reservation at WL March 13-March 22. We saved $332.76.

I called in today and applied the Visa code. Due to the fact that discounts do not include family suites at All Star Music, I had to upgrade hotels.:confused3

We did have booked:
Family suite for 6 at All Star Music, Jan 19- Jan26, 7 day base tickets with dining. Total $4,400.

We NOW have:
2 connecting rooms at the Port Orleans French Quarter Resort for 6, 7 day Park hopper passes, water park and more tickets, and dining. Total $4726.82
Savings of $929.24!!

We couldn't pass up the Upgrade in tickets and hotel for only $300 more out of our pocket!!:dance3:

I just used the Disney Visa Discount Code and saved $228.14!

I previously had 9 nights at Pop, with a Preferred room, the DDP, and 9 Day hopper passes for $2213.

Now I have the same thing, only with Water Parks and more for $1985.

Hooray!

I was able to book POP preferred view (not sure why others couldn't). Here is how it breaks out:

1. Old Trip 1/10-1/18 for 2 adults and 1 child age 4
POP preferred 8 nights, + Base MYW 7 days = 1466.96

2. New Trip 1/10-1/18
POP preferred 8 nights, + MYW Hopper/Water 7 days = 1395.92

Given this difference, there are more savings above the free hopper/water option. If my math is correct, it is a savings of about 8% on the room.

Comparing apples to apples:

Online rate for 8 nights POP preferred + MYW Hopper/Water 7 days = 1817.09
ZXE rate for 8 nights POP preferred + MYW Hopper/Water 7 days = 1395.92

That's a savings of $421.17! :cool1:

Okay, we had to switch hotels from CSR to POR, which is where we stayed last year and loved, so that is not a heartache in my book.

Before discount...

Jan. 4-12 (8 nights)
2-adults
1-junior
1-child

8 day hoppers with standard dining

$3576

With discount and upgrade to waterparks and more...

$3060:dance3:

So we saved over $500.00! It was work though... the original CRO couldn't find me any hotels that would accept the code! He was very nice but I told him that I just wouldn't accept that there wasn't a single mod resort that would take the discount on the first day that it was offered! :scared1: So I politely asked to speak to a supervisor. The lady at guest relations told me that there wasn't anything she could do for me at CSR. But she would look at the others. I told her that the other CM tried but she said that she would look too. She found both CBR and POR had openings! So we switched to our beautiful POR and saved a bundle. So persistance paid off here. Phew! Will be paying this off shortly and counting down the days!

Not a lucky Disney Visa holder, but I'm subscribing with hope that I get the "regular people" code. :)
