Report of 4th FP from app!?

This is nothing new btw.

I've gave this info time and time again on here. If you go to a park and notice lines are short and don't need to use any fast passes..if you're park hopping..you can cancel all 3 and set up other passes at a different park for the same day. Doesn't matter whether you change them before any are up or if all 3 have already expired.

It changes however if you use one in the first park. At that time you can only edit the following two attractions or times, but within that first park. You can't change the park for the second and third if you used the first. And that's why you were able to change the 3 to different rides at a different park, because none of the Fast Passes were used. It's been like this since the beginning of FP+ because I've done this quite a few times

That's what I mentioned in post #9 of this thread.

You could always book FP+ at "Park B" if you CANCELLED the original 3 bookings at "Park A" first.

But have you tried using all
Three and then booking new ones .. Not modifying or canceling, but new ones ...

Right - but I didn't cancel them. Maybe that's what the system winds up doing anyway, but I agreed to replace them ...when prompted by the system...

I am talking about booking Fast Passes at one park. Using those Fast Passes, then booking more Fast Passes at another park the same day. I am not canceling any of the originally booked Fast Passes prior to using them. I use all three original Fast Passes, then book more at another park the same day.

I am going to do this over the weekend and grab some screen captures while I do it to show how it works. It could be in effect just a "loophole" of sorts or a glitch they may address in the system.

I just try to book new Fast Passes and that is when I get the "conflict" or whatever it says prompt. Then that is where I "cancel" existing (but used) Fast Passes and get the new ones. I suppose you could Modify Existing ... Though I have not tried it that way as of yet.
I just want to double check here - thinking back, are you sure that you actually used ALL three of the old FPs? Is it possible that one of them was simply expired? But unused?

You say at another park the same day. Have you also tried doing this for the same park after your three fast passes were used?

I'm convinced that it's often worth trying something that "everyone knows" doesn't work, and so no one bothers to try it. A long time ago, I tried scheduling a fourth FP at a kiosk in a different park from my original three. This was back in the days when one could supposedly get three and only three. Well, I got a fourth one.
It was remarkable how many comments I got on here that what I did never actually happened because it wasn't possible. Never mind that I actually *did it*.

Maybe this only works if you change the fastpasses for another park on the same day? Has anyone tried doing this by picking fp's in the same park?

Edit: LOL, beaten

No. All three original Fast Passes were used and did not just expire. Plus, this was not a one-time deal. We do this all the time.

HAHAHAHA Sorry I couldn't resist

lol ... No worries. I actually laughed out loud when I saw it :)

No I have not tried that, sorry. When we go, we try to hit as much as we can that we want to do in different parks to end up at [insert park here] we want to watch the fireworks at. I'm sure someone else will give this one a go though.

Exactly. I know what you mean and agree 100%.

I try to adhere to the "why not" theory when testing things out. Like asking for certain things (off menu), discounts or to single ride attractions without single rider lines, in hopes of finding a cast member that says, "Why Not". The old, "Nothing ventured, nothing gained" philosophy I suppose. The worst they can say is no, right? On the flip side, testing things out like you said ... Worse thing that can happen is it doesn't work.

You're essentially canceling those fast passes when you go to change them. Disney isn't going to penalize you or anything, so as long as no fast passes have been used, you're free to cancel and select new ones or change times as many times as you like.

You would find different outcomes if you did the same test but used the first fast pass at the park, then waited for the other two to expire

No, we use all of the originally scheduled three Fast Passes, then schedule more for the same day at a different park. Or may be I am just reading what you are saying/typing incorrectly.

Yes. What you're talking about is different than letting the original 3 expire or just changing fast passes and parks without using any.

To my knowledge you're not suppose to be able to select a 4th, 5th, etc FP off your phone. As of right now it has to be at a FP kiosk within the park you want the fast passes for. It's possible it's a glitch that's allowing it to happen, or maybe Disney is even alpha/beta testing it among a few workers and a glitch happened and you were able to do it. Who knows.

Could work for some but I imagine majority won't be able to do it. If it was like this now, there'd be a big announcement from Disney.

I'm hoping they allow extra passes to be made off smartphones because it'd make it a lot easier. I think it anyone was free to do it though fast passes would be sucked up quick. So maybe they'll make it where you can only select additional fast passes once the system reads you've used the first 3 (not just expired), or have the MDE locate you within the park and unlock the ability to do it for the park you're in.

On the Disney side app you can take a picture of yourself and put your face on various Disney characters within different themes (pirates, Star Wars). They have a Haunted Mansion section that you can only unlock if you access the app within Magic Kingdom. So Disney has the capability of doing fast passes the same.

So after you use your original 3 prebooked, do you choose new ones or modify the ones you already have (had I guess if they are used)?

He chooses new ones, and he's done this many times. I hear all the people saying it doesn't work that way and it won't let you and Disney would tell us ... But I also see more than one person saying they've done it.
So I'm looking forward to more live reports on this in the coming days ... People actually trying to book NEW ONES - not modify, but create new ones after actually using all three prebooked FPs. That's the info I'm interested in.
