repo upgrade/waitlist

I'm wondering if maybe the Cat. 1 (or at least one of them) was booked for a special celebrity for the WB cruise. Wouldn't that be fun?! So far, I don't think any DISer has admitted to either of the Cat. 1 for the 2008 WB. I know one on our thread has one of the Cat. 2. I suppose there could be life outside of these boards!

Plan on some serious wine consumption on our veranda during Canal day....

A glass or two of Banfi Rosa Regale, perhaps? ;)

I am in a cat. 3 for the WB repo but am still wait listed for either a cat. 1 or the cat. 2.

I too am curious who is in either of the cat. 1's on the WB repo!!

:surfweb:

I have a friend in a cat 3 on our cruise (she is a DISer, but rarely posts) who knows that one of the Cat 1's has a 'regular' person in it (as in not a celebrity). I don't know if that person (woman) is a DISer or not. :confused3

Sure would be nice if the person/persons in the cat. 1 were DISers. I am hoping for an upgrade so can throw some parties just like we are throwing some parties in the Walt on our Dec. cruise. Still hoping for that elusive upgrade from cat. 3 to 1.

We are hoping too.:rotfl: :cool1: :cool1:

Also, if you want a suite but don't already hold a ressie on the repo cruise, I don't think you can waitlist for a suite.

I have clients wanting a cat 3 on the May 2008 repo and since they don't already have a ressie (and can't get one because it's sold out), they're outta luck right now.

Can you tell me what happens to your suite deposit when you cancel?

DCL changed their policy on suite deposits a few months ago. If you completely cancel a suite ressie, you lose 100% of your deposit (which is twice the amount for a lower category cabin). You can change the cruise date and the deposit goes onto the new date.

It used to be that you paid an extra "suite deposit" on top of the regular amount and if you cancelled you lost the "suite deposit" but not the regular one.

I got a letter from DCL saying that you could send in a refundable deposit for the 2007 and 2008 cruises if you did not have a ressie. Has that changed?

DCL must have changed their policy on that since a couple weeks after resies opened up because we have friends who are on the WL for a cat 3 on the EB repo and DCL took their deposit. They don't even have a gty yet.

It would be nice if DCL worked out a system before opening resies up so that there would be consistency for everyone. :sad2:

From your lips to Tom McAlpin's ears. ;)

As for my clients ... I'm guessing I had a newbie CM that wasn't clear on the policy ... so of course I'm callin' back.
