Has anyone on either repo been on an upgrade waitlist or a waitlist to be on the cruise and actually been upgraded or booked?

Thanks Everyone!!!

I'm wondering if maybe the Cat. 1 (or at least one of them) was booked for a special celebrity for the WB cruise. Wouldn't that be fun?! So far, I don't think any DISer has admitted to either of the Cat. 1 for the 2008 WB. I know one on our thread has one of the Cat. 2. I suppose there could be life outside of these boards!

To answer your question, I am waitlisted still for Cat. 1 or 2 for the WB and have not received any call.

Thanks Lisa!! I am referring to the 2008 repos. Sorry about that!!!!

We're one of the 2008 Westbound Repo - Cat 2s.

We got it from a IC request faxed quite some time back for Cat 1 or 2 on any spcial itinerary for 2007,2008,2009 over 10 days.

It was originally intended to get us a possible upgrade to a 1 or 2 for our ( soon to be canceled) 7/7/07 11 Day Med in a Cat 3.

Plan on some serious wine consumption on our veranda during Canal day....

I was on the waitlist for an upgrade from cat 11 to cat 9 for the 2005 EB repo cruise. When passengers started cancelling just prior to the penalty date
loads of cabins opened up. Initially it was just a GTY, then an assigned cabin, then enough cabins appeared so that I could make a selection. Fortunately at the time I was able to get the higher cat 9 at the same rate it was selling for on the day I made the original cat 11 booking, plus apply my OBC and 10% discount.:goodvibes
So your chances of getting on board or upgraded (not to sure about cat 1-3) are very good:yay:

I had been on the waitlist for a cat 3 on the EB Repo, 2008. I got a call a couple weeks ago and it had cleared! I may have been on a priorty wait list as I had given up a Cat 3 for a Med cruise, so they already had my non-refundable deposit. Not really sure exactly how it happened though!

We were wait listed to get on the Eastbound Panama Repo. A category 10 opened up and they reserved us in it. Few days later a category 9 opened up and we were "upgraded" but unfortunately the pricing was in the highest tier and it priced us off the ship all together. :sad1:

Well there goes one! We're on the waitlist for a Cat 3 as well. I couldn't get through on the phone and so could only book a Cat 4 online.

We faxed a request, got a call from IC prior to 1/31, then waited and waited - nothing from IC.

We went ahead and booked cat 4's - so we would have something. Called to confirm our "waitlist" status with IC. Put deposits down so we could be "priority" waitlisted.

Still, a month later...nothing - no suites. (And our cat. 4 are only "gty.")

If we don't get upgraded or can't get connecting rooms, we will be cancelling. So far now, just waiting and hoping - and knowing that DCL has 15k in deposits from us.

What is IC?

Is there a Disney waitlist for bookings on the EB Repo? I had a friend call a week or two after Jan 31 and was told by DCL they weren't taking a waitlist?

Where can I fax a request for a cruise that is not available for booking yet?
Inventory Control: fax #407-566-7739
Please note that DCL only accepts advance requests for categories 1 thru 3.

They also stopped taking requests for 2008 around Xmas Time, Not sure of the exact date, but near there.:goodvibes

DCL is not taking a waitlist for either Panama Canal crossing cruise in 2008.

I am in a cat. 3 for the WB repo but am still wait listed for either a cat. 1 or the cat. 2.

I too am curious who is in either of the cat. 1's on the WB repo!!

We're on the waitlist for a Cat 3 or higher, also. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I think you an be waitlisted for a higher Cat if you already have a ressie. We have a Cat 4 but, really need at least a Cat 3 (dh will NOT like sharing a bathroom for 2 wks! LOL!) so, we are on a waitlist for a suite. But, they already have some of our money. ;)

Can you tell me what happens to your suite deposit when you cancel?
