Renting points - room requests

We are renting points for a stay @ AKV and would like to request the Sunset Savannah view. Do I need the member that made the reservation call in and place that request?

Yes.

As a renter you cannot make room requests, modifications, additions, or anything else that relates to DVC member services. Member services literally won't speak to you at all on the phone with regards to a reservation. Just the way it is. One of the downsides to renting, I guess.

Be aware that requests are just that, and don't be upset if you don't receive the request. While Disney tries to make everyone happy, if too many people have the same request, someone is going to get the short end of the stick. Don't let it ruin your trip if that is you. It's happened to all of us.

If you are within 60 days you could do online check-in, I believe Sunset Savannah is a choice.

The member can only request the sunset savannah view if you rented a reservation for a savannah view. If you rented for a standard view you can not request the savannah view, this would be a bump up in points.
