I am seriously thinking about renting a scooter from Walker for our trip in October. I, too, am one of those people who does not look disabled. However, I don't have much cartilege left in my knees and now have some serious problems in my lower back. I can walk, but not for long periods of time. My husband(73) wants to push me(65) in a wheelchair the whole trip. I do not think this is fair to him, so that's why I am considering the scooter.
Couple of questions:
We are staying at Fort Wilderness. Will they deliver the scooter there for us.
We won't have any vehicle other than our small motor home and will use Disney transportation, ie. boat, busses, etc. Will we be able to get the scooter on them?
Is it safe to leave it while you are dining or on a theme park ride?
Are there any additional charges other than the $30.00 per day?
This is such a wonderful forum. It is so compasionate and no question ever is treated as foolish. I look forward to any help, suggestions or answers.
