Renting a 12 or 15 passenger van

We are a large family of 7 in every way, shape, and form. Pooh sized and giant sized-my 17 yo hit 6'5", 14 yo is 6'1" and DD 9 is 5" with a size 10 women's shoes. We are out growing our minivan at home we can deal though because the 17 adn 16 yo have their licenses now. However when we go to WDW we need a big van! We used one this past Christmas and it was heaven, except for me with trash for knees. My question is has anyone successfully gotten one of these very large suckers at Christmas for about 10 days for under a grand? I have been checking Mousesavers religiously with no success. The cheapest I found was 1300! TIA

Take a look at some of the specialty companies around the airport. I believe there is one called Florida Van Rental, that does mobility related stuff, but also has passenger vans. Check the MCO airport website and see the list of rental companies offsite, you should be able to score something much cheaper then 1k....

We rented a 12 passenger 1/2-1/7 this year for $350.00. It was from Thrifty and although the site is away from the airport, they have a shuttle bus who loads all of your luggage for you and it is only about a 5 min. drive. I would do it again in a heart beat!

TRIPLE CHECK YOUR INSURANCE I don't think credit card coverage extends to 12-15 passenger vans and it's possible your personal auto policy has similar exclusions.

Our insurance covered it, but thanks for making people aware it could be a problem.

Have you considered renting 2 vehicles - usually the price of both with still be a good bit cheaper than the price of one big van.
