Rental chairs at Junkanoo Beach, are they safe if unattended?

For those who have went and rented chairs, umbrellas and such at Junkanoo Beach, did you have a problem with your chair or your beach towel getting taken while you were in the ocean? I know not to leave any real valuables unattended, but can you leave your chair without worry?

We went to Junkanoo about 3 years ago. I know people have had some bad experiences there, but ours was great.

We rented 4 chairs but no umbrella. We had no issue of people trying to take our chairs at all. The beach is not that wide and we were able to keep watch while in the water. We did leave bags but put them under our towels when we walked away.

We had some delicious jerk chicken for lunch and a few frosty adult and kid friendly drinks.
