Rental Car Searches

Besides Priceline can someone help me find a good rental car online site?
I need to take my mom to the Mayo Clinic next week and we need to rent a car quickly to get to and from. I know there were some really good suggestions here last year but I cannot find the posts.

Thanks in advance for any help. Sorry it's not Disney related but I'll also be using it again for our August trip.

Don't know if this is too similar to Priceline but I use hotwire.com almost exclusively for rental cars. At least out of Orlando MCO - they are very cheap through hotwire.

My dad uses Orbitz. I just used Costco. You can price cars without being a member, but need to join if you want that rate. The price I got would have been worth joining if I wasn’t already a member. GL!

I just found rentalcars.com as well and it looks pretty good

I used rentalcars.com to reserve a car for our October trip to Grand Canyon/Las Vegas...just playing around I wanted to see the rental cost if I picked it up at Phoenix airport and dropped it off at the Las Vegas airport. The quote was $150 less for the different drop-off location!!! I am VERY worried that I am going to be slapped with a HUGE drop-off fee for the different location...anyone know?

THe quote for pickup/dropoff at Phoenix Skyway airport is $366 and the quote (which I have reserved and is cancellable for no fee) is $212 for the different drop off...too good to be true?

If you have a BJ's nearby, they also have great car rental discounts. I think they are currently offering a free 60 day trial membership also. You can price the rentals without joining, on their website.

www.kayak.com is pretty comprehensive.

also, i have found some pretty good discount codes on www.mousesavers.com

the Visa Card discount for alamo seems to be the most reliable, easiest to use.
