Rent a stroller at Disney or through a company?

For my upcoming trip we are thinking of renting a second stroller for our toddler and bringing our regular stroller for our baby instead of our double stroller that’s massive. Our kids are very tall, we tried doing an umbrella stroller when our toddler was 13 months and she was barely fitting so we can’t do one of those type unfortunately.

Would it be easy to rent a stroller at the park each day? We aren’t planning to get there at park open so I wasn’t sure if they sell out quickly. Our toddler prefers walking but she gets tired so a stroller at times would be very helpful.

Other option is renting one from a company that delivers to hotel room. I’ve never looked into that so not sure what’s a good one to go with. How do you return it at the end of the trip?

We did a trip not to Disney parks this week and brought just our single stroller. It was ok for some of the time but other times our toddler wanted to be in it and had to hold the baby. We weren’t out all day like we’d be with the park days so I’m thinking two would definitely come in handy.

Thank you in advance!

I don’t have firsthand experience with how outside rentals work. I do know that an advantage of having a stroller delivered to your resort is that you could bring the stroller to and from buses, boats, and monorails. That may be helpful if the toddler is worn out at the end of the day and it’s a long walk back to your room.

We rented one last time through the car service that picked us up from the airport and it was so easy and I appreciated not having to coordinate with a second company for pickup/dropoff. Unless we rent a car, this will be my plan on all future trips that require a stroller.

We rented a stroller for my 4 year old for one day at Epcot pre-cruise. We decided that it's worthwhile for ONE day, but if we were there any longer, we would have preferred a regular stroller.

We also rented a double stroller from one of the outside vendors 2 years in a row. Depending on what model stroller you have, bringing your double might actually be the easier way to go. I find the best stroller is the stroller you're the most comfortable folding.

The jeep umbrella strollers worked great for us they easily fit taller and heavier very light and easy to fold. We used one until my son was 4 no issues he was tall also.

We rented a double in the parks for our 4, 4, and 6 year olds to share, didn’t need it to get back to the resort (BC so walkable to 2 parks). They had not used a stroller at home for a couple years.

That's a good idea - what car service did you use? Asking for DD who's bringing a 20 month old and doesn't want to haul the stroller on the plane.

Instead of renting, I recommend buying a used stroller like on Facebook Marketplace. I was able to purchase a Baby Trend Sit n Stand locally for $50. We met in a public spot and I was able to inspect the stroller before handing over my cash. Cheaper than renting and I was able to ensure that it was up to my standards of cleanliness. We're taking it on our trip later this year instead of risking damage to our regular stroller.

Just don’t rent one of those double strollers that are 31” wide and have 12+” wheels and try to take it on Disney transportation with a bunch of stuff in the basket underneath and a bunch of water bottles or cups hanging from the bars.

Last time we went with the DGD, we rented this one from Gold Mobility since I was renting an ECV from them. It made it very convenient to get and return both my ECV and their stroller at the same time. Also, it was dark green, not black, which made it easier to find among a sea of strollers after a ride. But next time, DS and DDIL have decided to buy a smaller "umbrella"-type stroller and leave it (maybe I can find a "pass it on" group before our trip).

Our strollers are such a pain to fold and unfold because the seats come out so it’s a lot of pieces. I don’t think our double stroller will fit with everything else packed away it’s tight with our single stroller

I’ll look into the model and see if it’ll work

Was it easy to get the stroller at the park or do a lot of people rent them?

My kids are past the stroller stage, but I always recommend Scooterbug stroller rentals to my travel clients. They deliver right to bell services at the resorts. Super convenient and not expensive at all.
Thanks I’ll look into them. Do you know how to give the stroller back at the end of the trip?

I don’t think we’d have room in the car with two strollers and all our bags

I highly recommend Scooterbug, they’re the only company that’s authorized to drop off and pick up at Disney resorts without you being present. The stroller will be waiting for you at Bell Services and when you check out you simply leave it with BS again.
