Remy BG

Except that Disney controls how many VQ slots are given out. I think many are planning to try for a VQ and if unsuccessful then buy the LL$ for Remy. Disney could easily reduce the number of VQ slots from what they give out now to just a very few, in order to encourage more purchases.
That is exactly what they will do.

Clicked join at 7 am according to time.gov. Got BG 73. Can anyone estimate when this might be called? Estimated wait time is 360 minutes, but is that from park open or from 7 am?

It’s from the current time.

If you check your virtual queues on MDE that time is probably down to 330 at 7:30 AM.

One of my daughters is going to Epcot today and sent a screen shot of her BG and it showed a wait of 300 minutes. It is now 270.

That is exactly what they will do.

If 100% of capacity is currently devoted to the VQ they would have to reduce the number of VQ slots available over the course of the day to accommodate anyone with IALL.

It remains to be seen if the VQ will be eliminated when IALL becomes available and if the only other choice will be standby.

Do we really think a significant amount of people are going to pay for Remy if it’s so easy to get a BP? I can’t imagine enough would to make a significant difference. Just speculating of course.

Remy is a good ride .... not a great ride. Slightly better than Run Away Rail, in my perspectives. I personally wouldn't pay extra for it, and I rate it with Na'avi River and Run Away. If the line is less than 40, take a fun run.

Anybody know how long the waits go out for 7am? Thinking to try to wait like 20 seconds after 7 to start booking and hope for a late time. Then change my park away from Epcot and pick it up via park hopping.”, but won’t work obviously if it’s before 2pm.

Clicking EXACTLY at 7 can be too late so waiting 20 seconds you’d most likely have to wait for the 1PM drop

I got BG 73 yesterday (10/17) by trying right at 7 am. Got called at 1:50 pm & told to get there by 2:50 pm. But that was on a busy Sunday. Might be different on a weekday. Others have said the CMs don't care if you are late. You just can't be early.

Also, I expect it will change beginning tomorrow (10/19) when IAS & Genie+ go into effect.

Does anyone know how these BG/IAS+ will work if you are park hopping? We have a trip in a few weeks and will rope drop at HS as we have 5 must do rides over there (only have 2 days and one will be at MK so cannot start a day at Epcot).

We are starting at HS and then moving to Epcot. The 1pm boarding group option - is it eligible for those that are not in the park yet? Does anyone have info if I might be able to buy LL for this one in the morning or do you wait until you get to the second park? Just trying to find a way to make that ride less difficult. I guess tomorrow will bring some clarity

For the 1pm BG you need to have tapped into the park. There have been a few days where the 1pm drop has lasted past 2pm, and on those days there were reports from people who park hopped and were able to get a BG.

No one knows for sure yet how the ILLS will work, but the assumption is that you'll be able to buy in the morning for any park.

I’ve seen mixed results about hoppers being to access available boarding groups if still available after 2

i’d imagine if IA$ allotment is still open at 2 you can pay but I would think at 7am you’d only be able to purchase for the park you are reserved for

No....per Disney, you will be able to book them across parks...
Lightning Lane selections will be made on the same day of your visit and can be used across multiple theme parks, great for those who love the Park Hopper option.

i was under the impression you’d be given the next available timeslot though so unless the IA$ pool goes “lightning” fast you’d risk getting a return time before you can hop

hence my comment about only being able to book for your reserved park at 7am

overall like you said yes G+ and IA$ will work in all parks not just reserved ones

This confusion is the fault of Disney's stupid naming. They are too similar.

For IA$$$$ rides, you get to pick your time among all those available. Remy is a IA$$$.

For G+ rides, you only get the next available, but you'll know what the next available is before you select it.

Gotcha 👍🏻 I was under the impression both forms of Lightning Lane access were next available time so thanks for clearing it up
