Remy BG

So how long are the boarding groups lasting at the 7am release?

Marathon weekend sunday and staying at Boardwalk so Epcot is our park that day since we can walk and if we hop anywhere we will either walk to HS or Monorail to MK. Is the BG pretty much a guarantee on relatively low park day if we are up and on at 7 am?

Got a BG this AM and when group called at 3PM ,had 45 minute wait inline.
What is the use of BG? I would rather have standby line with estimated time so I can make decision about waiting. Not show up for BG and have to wait so long.

Me thinks this improves Disney's chances people will but it via ILL (Individual Lightning Lane)...

Not sure how long they last. Monday had issues with it freezing and got in at 7:02 and was group 80. Today, in at 7 and group 11.
I suspect there are a lot who will just do IAS instead.
On Monday, the 1 pm was still around at 2. But no idea how late those would be. Our group 80 entered the queue at 3:20.

Only 2 days of LL so far, but both days VQ availability still well after 1:00 pm. So if we lose out on the 7:00 am VQ, there seems to be no need to panic and buy ILL$ at that point.

Do you have any idea what time you might be called for your group when you get it? If we come at 2:00 (we will be in HS in the morning) and by chance get in a boarding group would we be able to leave the park and go to hotel for awhile. We planned on being there in the evening. Or does leaving void your VQ time?

Also does anyone know if we buy The lightning lane can we pick the general time we want it. Say the evening? Just out of curiosity if we also made it into the VQ later - are we allowed to ride it both times? Or does buying the i individual attraction lightning lane make it so you can’t get a.VQ. Not that I expect getting one at 2:00 would be easy. Just curious.

In all honesty - I'm considering buying ILL for Remy tomorrow so I can pick the time and avoid the queue wait - we want to hit Remy right before we do the showcase later in the day and hopefully not wait 30-40 mins. I've seen some posts that the VQ can come with wait time; and I saw a ILL post that said walked right on.

Yeah it might be worth buying it. I can see they better not have a long wait if you’ve paid for quick access.

This morning our group 11 was called at 10:15, 15 minutes after the park opened. Unlike the 45 minute wait on Monday, today was about 10 minutes through the queue.

We did both. We ended up not using our VQ. The line was ridiculously long. We walked right on earlier with our ILL.

Are they using two different lines, one for people with VQ and one for IAL$, or is everyone going into one line?

I missed VQ so just bought our preferred time - so excited! It's just 2 of us this trip so not a huge expense.

Had the ILL and walked right on - was nice to avoid the standby wait that looked fairly long at our time (4:30 p.m.). LOVED the ride - so happy we made it!

We were able to get a reservation last Tuesday for around 1 pm (six hours), unable to get in line (#66) until 2:30 and waited in line for an hour. Found out it was the first day of the LL.

Are you eligible to make a 1pm VQ attempt if Epcot is your park reservation for the day, and you've tapped in during the AM, but left the park for a break? We've got young kiddos, and like to take midday breaks. If we miss the 7am drop, it's be nice to duck out earlier and make an attempt at 1pm from the hotel.

Sorry if this has already been answered, all the info in these long threads tend to blur my mind.

You will not be able to do 1pm VQ outside the park. You need to be in the park for 1pm. Only the 7am allows VQ outside the park.
