Remy and Palo same day?

Due to the way scheduling worked out, I currently have Palo Brunch at 11:30 and Remy Dinner at 8 one day on our upcoming cruise. I have read this is a bad idea because we will be too full, but even if we finish at 1:30, I have to think I'll be hungry again 7 hours later. Anyone done this successfully?

I have never tried Remy so I would like to keep the reservation, but I don't want to waste it either. Thoughts?

I wouldn't do it. Only you know how much food you can stomach in a day.

When doing Palo brunch, I've found that's been plenty of food for me for the day (including dinner). Generally on the night we have Palo brunch (during the day) I only get an appetizer or salad for dinner.

That's not to say people don't do it. But I wouldn't.

Is is possible to do one or the other another time? We you limited in the available time slots? And that's why they wound up on the same day? You can always go to where the Palo/Remy dining changes are being handled when you first board to see about switching one or the other. They do hold back some reservations for booking onboard.

Hi Thanks for your response. No it may be available another night but we are going with our kids and (sorry for the long response) I wanted to do the first three nights with them at the three different MDRs, so we booked Palo for dinner the fourth night and the next night is Pirate night and I feel bad not doing dinner with them on that day cause they like to dress up etc. . . so that leaves the 5th or 6th night and I wanted to share dinner with them the last night. So that left the 5th day which is a sea day and I LOVE Palo brunch and don't want to give that up :)

Is the Remy Brunch (which is available the first sea day) the same food/experience? Maybe I will just do the brunch instead?

If I had to choose, I'd skip brunch and keep Remy dinner. We enjoy Palo brunch, but Remy really is even better.

You said you don't want to skip Pirate Night, but can you do Palo brunch earlier that day?

Remy brunch is a much different experience. No buffet, entirely menu driven and felt less relaxed. While we love Remy for dinner we weren't huge fans of the brunch. Would much rather do Palo brunch.

To do both on the same day might make for a very uncomfortable next day - it's a ton of very rich food!

So Remy better for dinner than brunch? Interesting. I would have thought the opposite. ok, Palo Brunch isn't available the first sea day :( But i'll see if I can book it when we get on board and just do the remy dinner. Thank you for your input.

I'm a big dude and even I'm thinking too...much...food.

I know that you don't have to gorge yourself at brunch, but it's hard not to, especially with how good the food is. My feeling is that the last thing you want is to sit down to a really exceptional meal at Remy and either not be hungry, or not enjoy it because you're still full from lunch.

We ate at both on the same day, but we did the brunch (Palo) and Dessert Experience (Remy). I would not have wanted to have dinner in Remy after having brunch in Palo. We paced ourselves during brunch, but it was a lot of very good, rich & decadent food. Knowing that we had a dessert course 5 hours later really helped with restraint (and it was well worth it) but, if given a choice, I would have definitely preferred having both on a different day.

That evening dh skipped MDR & ordered room service, which he didn't finish. Mom and I took the kids to MDR, but we both nibbled and declined desserts.
